What do you put in your hospital bag! Well I dont mean everything. I am talking about clothes mostly. What will I WANT to wear at the hospital? I mean will I really want pants (like pajama pants or something similar)? Or will I fall in love with gowns? I am trying to figure out what KIND of clothes to pack and how much. I realized that I probably wont want to wear just regular clothes while im there, and that I wasnt sure what I SHOULD wear. Can someone help me?

Take some jammies, slippers, some maternity panties and bras and an outfit to go home in.. Maternity of course... Don't forget an outfit for the baby... Remember they will take the baby's picture at the hospital....

But what about while you're there. I personally dont plan on wearing those uncomforable as hell hospital gowns that show my ass every time I get up. But should I plan to wear pants instead do you think? Or should I invest in some of my own gowns to wear? I have ONE gown already that I bought from a maternity store - its a nursing gown. But I'm sure I will probably want more than one thing to wear the whole time i'm there.

I didn't like waddling around in the gowns after birth. stratchy PJ pants are good but for the first few hours after birth they are going to make you wear a big GIANT hospital pad and they are going to want to check it periodically to measure (by eye ofcourse) you're blood loss so something that are easy to pull up and down--thick socks too--I always forget the socks. but if you have a c-section I would just opt for the gown cause of your battle wound incision.
Thanks all I can think of. Also--the first chance they let you have a shower--take it even if it feels impossible cause you'll feel a billion percent better after!

And i'm also not sure what im going to do about a nursing bra. I wear a 44F or G (not sure which since apparently walmart is the only place that calls them DDD, everywhere else calls them something different.) I cant seem to find ANYWHERE that sells them anywhere near me. And I dont trust online stores since I cant try them on. I dont know what to do about it.

I was in a 40 H when I was nursing... Motherhood maternity has them pretty large and so does Penneys.

Well I am planning on buying something (whether it be a thrift store buy or something new) to actually have the baby in. I know the gowns they have at the hospital dont fit me - i've been to the hospital before and their gowns SUCK. They basicly press my boobs flat they're so tight - and thats not even closed all the way.

Hmm I think I might be making a trip to JCpenny's. Walmart had ONE and ONLY one kind of maternity bra that came in a 44 DDD but it was just too tight. I knew that after my milk comes in it won't fit anymore.

i always wear two gowns haha even when i go in for something stupid i make them give me two gowns. the first one fits around me once and a half lol even being prego which is amusing, but i always put the other one on like a jacket just incase i want to bend over and dont want to show my world to everyone lmfao

Check out Sears too... They actually have really decent maternity and jammies in bigger sizes... I was pretty big when I was pregnant and had a hard time finding anything decent that didn't look like a welfare mumu.

lol the other day i ordered some underwear from Victoria Secrets, because i have no Granny Panties!! lol and it was 5 for $25 so i bought some, because you cant really fit a Pad or a diaper thingy in a Thong!! lol

My boobs haven't really changed in size either, which is surprising seeing how I can squirt 6ft across the room for about a minute straight. I wouldnt be too sure because they might turn around and bite you in the ass for thinking they wont get bigger lol.

Ok Coartney, you suck.. I went from a 36 C to a 40 H.... NOT FUN!!! They did stand up at attention quite nicely.. Now they are in my lap if I don't have a bra on. If I lie on my back one goes under each arm...

im sure they'll get bigger, but not too large. i was told one size up to a C is fine. but mine have stayed at Bs the entire almost 10 months.

I have yet to buy one piece of clothing in Maternity, simply because I can't find anything in my size. Well I take that back I found a store about an hour away that sold SOME plus sizes but they just felt weird. And it's so close now (2 weeks at the most), its just not worth it. I am down to 3 pants that fit, and they're stretchy pants LOL.

Speaking of thongs... They make panty shields for thongs.. How nasty.. I'm thinking, if you need a panty shield you shouldn't be wearing a thong... When I was pregnant my husband called them parachute panties... NOT FUNNY! I sent them to Ethopia for the people to make tents.. HA HA HA

i've got pj pants, a pair of matenrity jeans, slippers/robe, a couple t-shirs and that's it. I have way too much stuff packed for the baby. Ha ha ha. Guess we know what kind of mother I'll be. Annoying!!!

I think i'm just going to buy some pj type things to wear at the hospital. I don't have anything like that now because I generally dont wear them. But thats something im going to have to get used to because I cant be drowning my boyfriend in my baby's food all night long lol

I bought some real nice granny panties that I don't care if they get ruined post birth. I had on a pair the other day and my husband was like ewwww. those are so not sexy. oh yeah - ya think?? and i agree with you re: thongs.

Granny panties not sexy.. Comfy as hell yes.. Particularly when you are big as a moose and can't see them anyhow... HA HA HA

I am pretty anal Danese... I washed baby clothes as soon as I got them to be sure they were done and I didn't end up in labor with piles of clothes... My babies pretty much wore nothing but onsies and socks for the first 6 weeks.. I didn't leave the house except to go to the doctor with them....
