Well as of tomorrow i'll be 40 weeks and 7 days. My lil one has decided to wait and wait and not co-operate with us. I am honestly really scared. I've heard induction makes contractions alot stronger and harder. I think i'm more scared of that, then actually going through labour. I know my lil one still has roughly 24hours to come on her own and i'm really hoping she does, but I just don't feel like she will ya know. I dunno i just needed to vent.

I don't doubt you're scared, but just think, within a couple of days it will all be over, you won't be pregnant anymore, and you'll have your little one in your arms!!! Good luck to you tomorrow. I hope everything goes as quickly and easily as possible!

Well I hope the best for you and if the pain is to bad dont feel like your a sissy getting the epidural lol cause I am for sure glad I had it. Keep us informed and just think your lil girl will be able to see you for the first time in a few hrs. :)

I was nervous the night before I was induced with my daughter too. I think what scared me more was the thought that, tomorrow I will be a mom for the rest of my life. The labor itself wasn't that bad. I was in labor for 10 hours and wasn't even in pain really until the last 3/4 hours. Just think, your baby will be here tomorrow!!! Just as the other girls said, hope everything goes smoothly and as quickly as possible!! :)

Good luck!!! I've heard that contractions are more painful as well, but not everyone is affected the same way. Just remember that you have many pain management options, and even if you don't want an epidural you can always get an analgesic. Let us know how it goes whenever you get a chance.

Thanks tylersmom.

well i'm just sittin around waitin for the hospital to call me back, they do have me on the list to be induced today, so hopefully they call me back sooner then later. I really hate this waiting game. I'm gonna go nuts if i have to wait all day. It sucks tho cuz i'm not really feelin any contractions. Just really tense worrying about everything and my lil one is goin nuts on me at times. Let's just hope I don't have to wait any longer then I need to.

Well, Christina, I think I got on here a little too late to offer up advice, but all in all being induced isn't awful (given you get your epidural BEFORE they break your water). The contractions come on strong, really fast, not as with a naturally occuring labor where they slowly build over time. I'll be thinking about you girlie. Best wishes for a healthy and as pain-free-as-possible birth.

Hey Ladies, just a quick update. I had gone in this morning (sunday morning) to be induced. The doc checked me said I had dilated 2 centimeters (yay), and that I could have the Pitocin I.V or Gel...the doc opted to give me the gel, not so bad, but kinda yucky. They monitored me for a lil while and then sent me home.
Said they have 5 women all being induced today/tonight and for me to come back tomorrow morning (after i call first), otherwise to come in if my contractions get stronger, or water breaks, blah blah. So while he was checking me he also mentioned that he had stretched me to help. So after we left i've been having fairly strong contractions/cramps, and my tummy keeps goin real hard, and i've got a ton of lower back and hip pain. So im trying to wait as long as I can before I go back in. I have a feeling i'll be going back in tonight, especially if things get more intense, which i suspect they will. So that's the update for now. I'll write again soon. Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words, you ladies are just awesome!
