Jasmine made her appearance Wednesday night at 9:32pm after 19 hours of labor and a C-Section.
I woke up at about 2am Wed. because it felt like I was peeing on myself - well it turned out to be my water breaking. So I made my way to the hospital and got admitted. I made my way through the day. At around 1 or 2 I got an epidural - which numbed me to the point that I couldnt move my legs. But on the bright side I couldnt feel ANYTHING when I was having a contraction. It got to be about 7pm when they started to get worried, because I was only 8cm dialated and still not completely effaced AND every contraction caused her heart rate to drop. They gave me an hour or they were going to do a c-section. An hour came, and no progress so to the surgery room I went. They gave me more epidural, so much that I was like a big blob and couldnt move. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't feel anything during an epidural, because I felt everything - just no pain. She was finally born at 9:32. She weighed 7lbs 9oz, and was 21inches long. They found out that the reason she wasnt progressing in labor was because she was sunny-side-up (wrong way) and the cord was wrapped around her arm/body.
She looks just like her daddy! She's got such dark skin you wouldnt believe she has any white in her!
I tried to breastfeed, but it just didnt work out - so shes on formula. But thats okay because she got about a days worth of colostrum before it all went downhill.
Everyone is doing fine, and I am happy to be home. Even though I feel like im stuck bent over (csection incision), it was well worth it! She is now sitting in her swing where she can obviously see the mobile above her head because she is just watching it. I hope everyone here is alright. ↓

I'm praying mine will be! It's so adorable.
I know what you mean by feeling everything bar the pain.
I've had local anaesthetic before and you can feel everything except the pain! Lol.
But that's a good thing, eh?

When you didn't post for a few days I was wondering if you had your baby. I'm so happy that everything went well and you are all doing good. Congratulations!
