At 40+2 weeks, I have just lost my mucus plug! As yet, don't feel much different. But I'm very excited!

How long after losing your mucus plugs did you start having contractions?

it seems like i've lost all mine...and i'm only 35 weeks. it can be anywhere from a couple of hours to a couple of weeks....no one really knows. and i've read somewhere (not in your case) that if you lose it early like me that it can grow back. but i've also heard that if it's streaked with pink or red blood that's a sign on impending labor...i dunno though.

It's a good start, but could still take awhile. You'll be holding baby Joey before you know it.

Well I'm currently 37th weeks (according to my second due date) and I've been losing my my mucous plug for weeks. I think my doctor is gonna induce after the 12th so I'm excited.

It's a horrible, gooey, greeny, brownish, thick deposit. And it comes out in clumps. Believe me, you'll know!

I lost half mine 1 week prior to delivery and the rest the day before delivery after having my membranes swept. I gave birth at 40 + 1.
