Just wanted to let everyone know that I got a negative result (which is GOOD) on my FFN test. That means that there is almost no chance that I could deliver within the next 2 weeks, because that substance is present in 99% of women 2 weeks before delivery. They will test again at 32 weeks to make sure I'm still okay to get to 34 weeks... and after that the doctor will be far less concerned.

I am SOOOOOO happy! He still doesn't want me having contractions, so I need to take that nasty medicine if I have any moderatly strong contractions... but now we don't have to worry quite so much. Oh, and I have group B strep, so he ordered some anitbiotics. That means that my bedrest is now much much more relaxed and I can do anything that's not to strenuous.

Just wanted to update you girls with the good news! Looks like I may just be getting lucky with a body that's preparing early for the birth. I suppose that's better than being 40 weeks with no progress and being miserable. : )

That awesome news....

I had to start taking medication for contraction at 27 weeks because I was having preterm contraction.

Did that medicine make you sick Mom2be? It literally makes me feel like I just snorted 10 lines of coke... really really yucky. I started it yesterday and each time I take it I start shaking violently, vomitting, sweating, breathing rapidly, my heart races, etc... but the doctor said it's normal. He said those are just the unfortunate side effects. I spent 2 hours last night feeling like I was going to hyperventilate and die!

Hopefully I don't have any moderate contractions (I refuse to take it for just a little tightening, because it's just to horrible) before 34 weeks. I don't know how much if it I could handle.

Yep every single frickin' time. I absolutely hated taking it. The first time I used it the contraction didn't stop all that happen was that I become violently ill, I started shaking like no tomorrow, my heart rate went up (you would have thought I just got done running like 100 miles) and my breathing also went up. I also would end up with a migraine every single time I had to use it. The worse part about all this was that at the same time I had to try and take care of my 2 year old son. The doctor asked me if there was anyone who could take care of him and I was like, "Um, I'm a stay-at-home mom, I take care of him?"

Yeah... I can't imagine if I had another child in the house to take care of. I wouldn't be able to do it. For one thing it would probably scare the hell out the child on account of it looks like somthing from the movie The Exorsist mixed with a little of something out of a psych ward. Paul was even getting scared watching me on account of the violent shaking and irregular breathing.... he wanted to take me to a doctor, but I was aware that it was probably normal so I didn't want to go.

Yeah although I was told that it was normal I still called my doctor because I didn't know at what level they would consider it not normal.....But apparently as long as your not foaming from the mouth your okay
