problem....In january i came off of my ortho evra patch after being on it for a lil over a year...my periods have been irregular, but now i havent had one since may 27th, and it is now august 1st!....i have no signs or symptoms, and i took 2 preg. tests. One on july 14th and one on july 17th both negative....my boyfriend and i use condoms but sometimes we have sex for a couple minutes then put it on but he never ejaculates inside of me....i just wanna know maybe from professional point of view or someone who may have had this happen, what the chances r that i am pregnant....im 21, i have a 2year old and im not really ready for another one yet! maybe im just fraking myself out, could somebody please help me? i cant afford to go to the doc right now i have no insurance.... ↓

| Ok, first off we can't give you a professional point of view b/c we're only women ourselves. How irregular have your periods been? So it's been about 2 months now, right? If the tests are coming back negative, then I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe you should take another one now, and if it's still negative and you don't get your period by mid-month consider going to a clinic such as Planned Parenthood. They will administer a urine test if you're that concerned. The accuaracy of home tests are pretty high though. Let us know what happens. ↑ |

| thank you for replying...i know you cant give me a professional point of view but i thought that maybe someone who posts on here might be a nurse or something, thats what i meant.....technically im like 5 weeks late because i had the last one on may27th and so id be late after june 27th i guess or something like that....last time i had my period on feb 27 and didnt have one til april 19th....its just frustrating is all...i will probably take another test then let ya know how it goes....deep down i know i shouldnt be all that worried anout being preg. but asking and getting reassurance from others helps ease ur nerves sometimes ya know? ↑ |

| Oh I totally understand!! My fiance and I faced an unplanned pregnancy and I don't know what I would do w/out this board. I was really considering abortion, but I'm glad I didn't now. The women on here are great!! Honestly, I doubt that you're pregnant. Birth control can do some whacky things to a woman's body, I know that much:) ↑ |

| yea its nice having other people to talk to about these things...i have a 2 year old and im the only one out of my group of friends who has a child so they dont understand a thing....im also the only one who has ever been on birth control so they are all like..."u must be pregnant if youre that late!" but like i said the tests i took july 14th and july 17th were negative, and i dont think it was too early for me to be taking them.....stress and coming off the birth control is probably whats going on, im not sure how long its supposed to take for everything to get back to normal but like i said ive been off since either january or february, i forget which month exactly that i stopped ↑ |

| I've heard it can take up to a year for your body to get back to normal. There's also those women who say that you're body never recovers from birth control, but most of them have like 7 kids and never used it to begin with. It's really hard for some women to conceive if they've been on bc for years and years. If you don't mindme asking, why did you come off the patch? Are you and your bf trying again? ↑ |

| No, we're not trying right now...actually we are living with my parents with my daughter til he gets this job hes been trying to get as a corrections officer then we are gonna get an apartment...I came off the patch because it made me feel weird and it made me really tired, then my prescription was up on it and i dont have insurance so i thought " well let me see how i feel off the patch, before i decide to go to another doc"....and ive felt better ever since....i also gained like 30 lbs while i was on it and now im SLOWLY starting to lose some of the weight....and ive ehard ALOT of bad things about it in the newspapers and on the news like women having heart attacks and strokes(which is possible with any b/c pill...but the patch has like 60% more estrogen than the pills...crazy ↑ |

Every womens body reacts differently to changes expecially when it comes to takeing birth control and giveing it up!.. Are they're any free pregnancy support clinics in your area? B/c if u can't afford to see a doctor then you should talk to a pregnancy councler who would have some answers for you. I know that's not much help, Just thought I would see if that was an option for you.
