Okay, so in the hospital I was giving my daughter Enfamil Lipil w/ Iron, right? She was fine on it. Then when I got home she was throwing up (projectile) every time she ate!! I was even burping between each ounce. So, I switched her to Enfamil AR (for babies who spit up frequently). Everything seemed to be fine until yesterday and today. About every other time she eats she is projectile vomiting....again! Anyone have any suggestions? She is gaining weight so I know she is getting what she needs but should I call the doctor? Anyone else experience this?

YES ... ME! My daughter (I think she was born the same week as yours) was actually hospitalized... she ended up having an allergy to Milk Protein and she had to have IVs and such... but now she is doing better she in on a Soy Formula. But she is STILL throwing up so it is thought that she has reflux now.. whoo hoo! The throwing up scares me to death ! I am so scared she will throw up in her sleep and choke or something!

omg...my daughter did that too until I fed her Isomil.....it's a soy formula. Now she never pukes, not even any spit up!!

Mine is on Isomil too for the Milk Protein Allergy!! We're gonna have to do something else for the reflux!

Ohmigod, I didn't think it could be an allergic reaction. Well, now you guys are scaring me. Yeah, the puking scares me too. She normally does it right after she eats but sometimes it's an hour or so later even.

Yes, Tylersmom, I think you had Belle the day after me (I had Camryn on the 18th). So, should I call the doctor or maybe try the Isomil soy?

Yeah.. you could call... from what they told me a milk protein allergy is not that uncommon! Dont be scared though.. like you said she is gaining weight... Belle lost almost a pound, she had diharea too though!

With your case right now.. it sounds EXACTLY what Belle is doing now so it really could be reflux! Definatly something to check into!

Yeah, I guess I will call tomorrow and see what they say. I tried calling the day after I got home from the hospital but he didn't call me back until late and when he did I missed the call so when I switched to the AR it seemed to get better but it really hasn't. She is just puking way tooo much. I've constantly got a load of laundry to do.

TRUST ME when I say... I understand the laundry situation!

LOL, no kidding. Other than that, how is Belle doing? Is Tyler adjusting well to being a big brother?

Other than the constant puke? LOL she is doing good! Tyler is adjusting OK.... I feel like he thinks I dont have enough time for him but he is sweet to Belle.. I am just tryin harder to MAKE time for him, but its hard sometimes,

How much does Camryn weigh

I haven't had her back to the doctor since she was born. When she was born she was 8lbs 14 ozs. I take her to the doctor next week to find out but she is definitely bigger. How big is Belle?

I know exactly how you feel w/ Tyler. I feel the same way about my older daughter (shes almost 4). I feel like I haven't been able to give her enough attention lately and I am trying to set aside more time too.

She was 7 lbs 12 oz when she was born and when we left the hospital she was 7lbs 6 oz

Sounds like gastric reflux. You might want to take her to the hospital/doctor to be checked out and put on medication

Hiddy- what was the point in making a smart ass comment? Thismakes2 is seriously worried about her baby as am I, I am glad you were able to find our concerns to be so comedic!

I dealt with the same thing with my son when he was born. We ended up switching his formula to soy because he had acid reflux. He did still throw up somewhat but not as often and not as much. With my daughter for some reason she throws up the Enfamil Milk-Base formula. I am not sure to why but we have since switched her over to Parents Choice Gentle and she has been doing really well since the switch.

My Dr said it isnt necessarily the formula but that their digestive systems are not quite developed and to give it some time. I switched mine right away like you except I went from similac to isomil (soy base). she still spits up a bit but isnt as crabby.
