If i dont feel them is it possible i wont feel the real ones until its time to go to the hospital or its to olate to go to the hospital???? My fiance is going to be gone a lot this month n im worried if i dont feel them he'll miss the labor n i do NOT want to have this kid without him by my side.

some people don't feel braxton hicks. i felt mine though....big time!! but i've read in lots of books that for the most part they are painless. but believe me you'll know when it's the real thing! lol....it's not something you miss!!!

I was about 28 weeks before I even felt pregnant ,at about 38 -39 weeks the braxton hicks started coming pretty often. I went into labor naturally at 42 weeks (That was a LONG 2 week wait) I chose a home birth and from the first contraction to the last push was about 18 hours. Most first labors are pretty long from what I read and my mid wife told me. I am hopeing with this pregnancy I don't pass 40 weeks and labor half as long.
