Well im 6 months pregnant and i want to name my son Stolan Michael Patrick. Stolan would be the first name, and Michael Patrick is the middle names. ↓
|
|
I really think it is a neat name different but deffinatly neat ↑ |
I think it may be a little too different, but that's just me. ↑ |
I don't care for it but it is your baby. You shouldn't care what others think. ↑ |
Im not to keen on it but its nothing to odd so it will wrok all that matters is u like it. ↑ |
As long as you're ok with the potential nicknames he's going to get called...... ↑ |
I want to name my children navi lee and anastasia rose. So I like the name. ↑ |
Thats not a bad name. its all in what you want try yelling the name out loud and see how it sounds. lol thats waht we did. except we cna't come up with a middle name we are having a girl her first name will be Chelsea but we can not come up with a middle name. i like chelsea lynn but the hubby doesn't like it but if you have any ideas let me know plz. ↑ |
if you do take christens advise and yell it dont do it in a store or on the streets someone might think something was STOLDEN lol. its a unique name as long as you like it . when i was pregnant with my 3rd before i knew it was a boy i wanted cortlee for a girls name and one of my friends laughed and started singing out portly cortlee thats what the kids will call her she said i got mad but he ended up bieng a boy
( carter ) is what his name ended up bieng . ↑ |
I think that a stolan is a type of cake lol but it is up to you! ↑ |
Honestly I dont like the name. It's labeling your child a criminal and I dont think you want him living up to the name. He will be severly teased. How would you like it if were your name and you had to live with it? I would try and come up with something else but thats just me. ↑ |
its definately different but i like michael stolan better without the patrick ↑ |
I think if you love the name that's all that matters. Nick names can be made out of any name. Boy names are hard to be unique with. ↑ |
Thanx for all the "nice" comments they helped my decision alot!! : ) ↑ |
When I was working I was told by one of my customer that once I picked out a name I should go outside to my back yard and yell the full name. It it runs off your tongue smoothly it's a great name. Stolen is definately different and I'm not really sure if I like it.
I'm still trying to figure out if I like the name Cole Joseph which is the name my husband picked out as our boys name. I'm slowly getting use to it, but I'm still very iffy about it. To me it's not necessarily a bad name for an adult but it's such an adult name for a child. And I know that my child will eventually be an adult butI don't know.
However, I would say if you like it then that is what really matters. ↑ |
ethansmom0213 cole is my middle sons name i loved that name i knew right away thats what i wanted to name him and it definatly fits, his middle name is thomas after my pawpaw who died shortly after cole was born . ↑ |
oh and i also meant to say thats funny that you think its an adult name becouse my son always reminded me and my husband of a little man my mom would call him her little ole man . ↑ |
I am 13 weeks and really won't know what I am having until August and that is only if he/she isn't shy. So should I be having a boy I have enough time to get use to which I'm sure that I will.
My 2 year old son is named Ethan Tyler which both my husband and I picked out. He wanted the name Tyler and I wanted the name Ethan. I call him my Little Man. ↑ |
Is it pronounced "Stolen" ? ... I love different; unique names, but this is definately funny to me, sorry, just giving my honest opinion. Alot of people are naming their children unique names now, so it's definately up to you. Good luck! :-) ↑ |
Hmmm...at first it sounds unique, but after awhile of repetition, I think that it could start to sound weird. It is your baby though and I would pick whatever you feel comfortable with for the next 50 years. Out of a scale of 10, I would give it a 6.
I like the idea of rate my baby name though. I'm 16.5 weeks along and for a girl we've picked Harper Alice Lee, the two middle names are loved ones who have passed recently. For a boy, either Jacob Michael or Walker Michael. They all have cute stories behind them. What do y'all think?
Ethansmom--I really like the name Cole. Joseph is another story, but that has nothing to do w/ personal taste, just bad memories:) ↑ |
Yeah I was iffy on the middle name Joseph to because my dad's middle name is Joseph and well we don't get along very well. But my husband picked the it because that was his Grandpa's name so I decided I could get over it, that I just have to remind myself that we name our son (if is is a boy) after his Grandpa.
I really like the name Harper for a girl. The names I picked out was Kylie Elizabeth or Kylie Anne and Caitlynn Mae Elizabeth.
I'm only 13 weeks so I have sometime to really think about baby names some more. I do know however that the boy's name that has been picked out will stay since my husband has his heart set on this. ↑ |
I think Harper is different it wouldnt be my choice but its not ugly by all means. My daughters name is Audra Marie and my son will be Brian Dale(after his dad and deceased grandfather) And i like Cole Joseph he could be called CJ if he wanted to later in life ↑ |
EthansMom0213: You're right ,Cole Joseph is a very "adult" name, but CJ works for a kid. :-) ↑ |
I never really sat down and thought about calling him by his Initials. CJ would actually work and it does sound more kid like.
With my first pregnancy I actually hoped for a boy because the girls name that we picked out was Caitlynn (my husband is still holding on to this name because he thinks we are going to have a little girl and this is what we are naming her). The problem I had was that my mom insisted that she was going to call my little girl "Katie." I really do not like the name Katie and explained to my mom that if I wanted her to be called Katie I would have named her this. Should she decide when she is older that she prefer to be called Katie then so be it. But until then her name is Caitlynn. I'm now leaning towards Kylie. ↑ |
I dont really like the name Stolan because of the things people will say to him as he gets older, but thats just my opinion. I like the name Caitlynn and Kylie, CJ is a cute nickname as well. Harper is a very unique name. If my little angel is a boy his name will be Mikal Keyon after his dad and if shes a girl she will be Serenity Veronica (after her grandma). ↑ |
What names will be he be called if his name is Stolan besides the actor? I really dont see why he would be made fun of but any name can be turned into something mean so I would say as long as your happy with go for it hehe ↑ |
her name could be Chelsea aundra ↑ |
