My dr. said that you should wait until 37 weeks to start trying to induce labor. Just wait one more week and then you can try all that crazy stuff like Black?blue cohosh and castor oil. You want to make sure that your baby's lungs are fully developed.

I know that feeling!! I went and bought the blue cohosh stuff but am waiting to take it til Thursday after my last doctor appt. I'm due today and am so uncomfortable. So much pressure on my pelvic area and contractions that aren't close enough yet.

Most doctors would stop your labor at 36 weeks but should you go into labor at 37 weeks they would just let it happen. I am pregnant with my second one and know all about the last couple of weeks of pregnancy. I use to sleep sitting up just so that I could get sleep when I was pregnant with my son. Also laying in the bathtub could help somewhat.

Yeah I've been spending alot of time in the bath tub.

When do the mucas plug come down?

hehe, i was due this past sunday, and still nothing yet. I have my doc appt tomorrow (tues october 17th). I'll be getting checked and most likely getting an appt to be induced. I'm hoping they strip my membranes to help bring on contractions. I've had a ton of pressure in my pelvic area, sometimes it hurts beyond belief and I can hardly move.

Tariece the mucas plug can come really anytime upto like 3 weeks before your birthing date. I have lost mine a little bit at a time over the past week and a half.

I know it sucks, but I think that it is best to let the baby come when it is ready. Your body will know when it is time I am not sure that all of those speed up methods really work anyway. Hang in there it is almost over.

Well i saw my doc today said i've started to dilate and it could be anytime now. didn't tell me how far i've dilated cuz apparently it's just a bit. But said if baby doesn't come on her own by sunday, then sunday i go to the hospital to be induced. Provided theres any beds available otherwise I go on a waiting list. So i'm hoping after all the poking and probing it would have started more to happen and baby will come on her own soon.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I am 36 weeks as of today and I've been having the same feelings lately. I can't sleep more than a few hours at night and I'm just so anxious about everything. Things just got worse today too because now my husband is just as anxious. He's been doing well at being patient so far, but last night he had several dreams about the baby and now he's more excited than ever. He called me at work today to chat because he couldn't stop thinking about his dreams and the baby and he wanted to know if I had a 'feeling' about how much longer it might be. He thinks it will be 2 1/2 more weeks... we'll see. As much as it stinks, we should probably try to wait as long as possible and just let our bodies let us know when the time is right. I wish it would happen today... but it's not going to.

Maybe try to come up with other things to fill your time to make the days/weeks go by faster. I've had a lot of work and church stuff come up lately and now I'm busy 4 nights of the week. It keeps me out of the house and keeps my mind busy. It's been helping make the time go by a little bit faster. Don't go overboard though and strain your body. But maybe trying to find something to fill up your time would help... just a suggestion!

I kind of wish I was working maybe time would go by faster, but all I do is sit at home I'm so lazy now I feel bad because I go from the computer to the bed. I don't have the urgh to do anything. I can't even remember how to spell right my memory is shot. But I have no choice but to wait hopefully it's soon. My daughter came on her due date I don't want to wait that long.
