Has anyone here had to live with second hand smoke while pregnant.. and then had a HEALTHY baby? ↓

| actually i quit at 20 weeks b.c i smoked too much to begin with and was told to ease off b.c the baby could become stressed b.c of the nicotine not being there. so thanks for your input. ↑ |

| i dont smoke anymore. i just said I QUIT at 20 weeks and the only reason i quit then was b.c the doctor had me be weened off b.c of the nicotine intake before i knew i was prego. i smoked like 3 cigs a day if that my child is fine. i dont smoke anymore nor do i let anyone else smoke around him or if they have smoked they arent allowed to hold him for at least 30 mins and must wash their hands. im not a bad mother for anything. i recognize my faults and having done some things wrong. but again when u become god and have the right to judge me, then ill start caring. ↑ |

| I'm sure it doesn't neccessarily do any harm to the baby, but like caffeine etc, best avoided because not good for the little one. Many women smoke and even drink throughout pregnancy to have healthy babies. Others aren't so fortunate. Jessie, bear in mind that it isn't easy to quit smoking; it's an addiction. You can't just say 'right I'm pregnant. I will never smoke again' and always be successful, no matter what your best intentions are. Well done on quitting Coartney! I smoked for 4 years, and it KILLED me quitting; thankfully I had quit long before I became pregnant, so I was lucky. But if you are a smoker, and you accidently become pregnant, as I know Coartney did, then it's not your fault. And the best you can do is quit as soon as you possibly can, which I'm sure Coartney did. I'd only have a problem with smokers who are TTC. ↑ |

Yes she smoked but you see she also said SHE QUIT.. she quit cold turkey FOR HER SON. She is a WONDERFUL mother.
