shock is normal , i don't know if you guys talked about having kids or not but me and hubby had talked about it as in the future he was set for deployment and we just got married i went off the pill to cycle off it over the next year or two and we used over the counter methods condoms spermicides those kinds of combinations etc. three months later we found out we were 5 weeks pregnant , we were both shocked needless to say. I am know 23 weeks along hubby is still to be deployed in january so he will miss a whole lot. Just take it one day at a time, some things are blessing's in diguise i know lots of women in the army and airforce who got pregnant and had kids and continued on with there jobs you won't be able to deploy obviously but everything will work out.

My husband is also a marine and he was going to iraq at the same time as me and we were actually at the same base whichwas awesome because that was not likely to happen. He'll be there for a year and probably won't be home for the birth, but he's going to try. He's gotten so excited about it in the past few days and is already picking out baby names even though i'm not far along and i really want to wait to see if its a boy or a girl. i did the online due date calculator thing and if its right i'll be due in July which is the month i was born so i think thats pretty awesome. But i am happy and i'm getting used to the idea of being pregnaant everyday, it helps that my husband is as well!

Also i have a problemwith telling my mom. My husband and i want to wait until we're definantly for sure I'm pregnant (I'm sure but he wants me to go do the doc. thing) And i'm afraid my mother will be offended that i didnt come toher and tell her when i thought i was pregant. She still thinks of me a child (I'm 19 yes i know young) and i just need her to see this wasn't planned but we're still happy about it.
