Ok so thats spelt wrong but you get my drift , I always thought it would be something wonderfull to do and a great way to pay off my student loans, but I never qualified because I had never been pregnant before , know that I am married and have my son I am thinking about it again , I absolutly loved being pregnant but don't want a baby anytime soon nor can I have one because my husband is deployed , I also believe it is something I would like to do when my son is little enough not to fully understand or old enough to but not that in between age were he might not be able to fully comprhend it , would anyone else ever do this or has ?

No ... I couldn't. Even if the baby was not biologically mine, I couldn't. It'd be too difficult emotionally; I'd get too attached.

I could do it, but only if the babie was 100% the mom and dads. I couldn't use my own eggs. Also I don't know that it would be something I would do for money....well inless they threw in a tummy tuck after words LOL.... really though I could do if for someone close to me that couldn't ahve children. that way I could still see the babies and stuff.

I guess it is a personal choice yeah I could never do it knowing it was my child , but someone else's I could do it in a second , most defiantly for someone close to me , but even for a perfect stranger I think if the couple can afford it theres nothing wrong with compensation , doing it for profit is for one thing but if I did it to pay off my student loans and to give someone a child I think that works for both of us were helping each other so to speak.

cheers to you sally24... I think that it is very honorable to help somebody become a parent and this way it would actually be their child... I don't think i could do it for emotional reasons but if you feel up to it then power to you girl

I would love to be a surrogate but my fiance would be very upset, because we both want children!

I've been a surro in 2002! It was one of the most satisfying exp. in my life and now to think that there is a little girl out there with parents that would never have had the chance to be parents without surrogacy.
I was the same way-Had easy preg and deliveries with my own two girls (2000 & 2001) and it helped pay off my mortgage.
I thought it was a great opportunity for everyone involved. I still see the parents and their daughter about once a year and its a special relationship that we share even though its been all these years.
As far as people asking me if it was difficult handing the baby over after birth?--no way! I had my own two babies at home still and you go through the whole preg. knowing that this baby belongs to someone else and you see how happy it makes the intended parents! I would do it again in a heart beat but the laws in Canada have since been changed to make it mor restricted as far as money nd legalities (of course the Gov. wants a cut of the money even though they have nothing to do with it!!!!)
Where are you from? And have you ever considered donating eggs aswell?? Its not as much money but is a shorter process and just as much a gift to the intended parents!
Feel freee to ask me any questions--I had a great exp.

I have never thought about being a surrogate but I have thought about selling my eggs. I just don't think I could carry a baby for 9 months and then have to hand the baby over to the people who I am carrying the baby for. Where as selling my eggs there is not emotional attachment since I will never know for sure as to whether or not my egg created a child for some other couple.
