I actually didn't feel a thing during my c-section. I was told that I might feel some pressure but other then that I felt nothing. The one thing that I wish I was told was the fact that I wouldn't be able to move my legs.

A c-section is major surgery so it will take you a while to actually heal completely so you'll have to take it easy for awhile, if you have to go back to you you'll be put on light duty (that is even if you work place allows you to return right away, some places will actually make you wait until you are able to do you job completely). However, if you are a SAHM or going to be staying at home for a while you'll be given a weight restriction. I was told that I couldn't lift anything heavier then my son.

Like everything that involves pain of any kind it will depend on you pain tolerance. I was up and about the next day. At about a week I was able to do most things around the house. And as soon as my staples where out was even better. I think that most of my discomfort came from the staples that they used, because once they were out I was doing almost everything I was doing before I had my son, I just had to take it easy and remember not to over due it. And you'll know when your over duing it.
