I know my girls aren't on right now, but I have been having braxton hicks contractions all day, to the point where I almost feel like I should time them. I know I had them with Sophie, but I don't ever remember them lasting this long and being so consistent, especially this early on. For those who have more than one baby, did you notice more BH with the second or subsequent pregnancies? I'll have to ask my doctor on Monday at my appointment what the protocol is this time because I think they change it after your first. Like with Sophie I was supposed to call if I had contractions 5 minutes apart for an hour, but I think this time it's 10 minutes apart for an hour, but I'm not sure. But it's too early anyway so I know this isn't the real thing, it's just getting a little annoying.

Drink a glass of water and lay down for 20 minutes. See what happens... How far along are you?

I'm 32 weeks. I drank tons of water, Propel and Gatorade yesterday and last night. I live in Tucson and it's in the 90s here so that was my first thought - that I was getting dehydrated. But then I was also getting these muscle spasms in my back every time I twisted, like to reach for something. So I did lie down and that helped the muscle spasms but not the BH. But anyway - I've only had one BH this morning and I've been up for over an hour.

Yeah - I told Andy that we would stay home today and take it easy. And that I'll rest during Sophie's naps.

I never had BH w/ my son, but with this PG I get them. I was reading if you get so many in an hour you should call your doc? I would call just to make sure, it wont hurt anything to ask and it is your docs job!!

I haven't been counting them, but I'm definitely still having them today. I have an appt. Monday so I'll probably just mention it then. Until then I'm just going to take it easy, or as easy as I can with a baby to keep up with!

When I get them I can feel my whole belly get tight and hard, and it feels like the pressure is pushing the baby down. Then after about 20 or 30 seconds my belly slowly goes back to normal. They're not really painful, but they're uncomfortable because I feel the baby soooo low when I have them - like she's going to fall out of my crotch!
