Has anyone had a urinary tract infection or bladder infection while pregnant? Does it feel different than it normally does? I've been having so much tenderness in my lower abdomen, sometimes sharp pains, a pinkish tinge to the toilet paper when I pee, but no constant need to pee or burning when I pee. It's been years since I've had a UTI and some of the symptoms are so similar to normal pregnancy symptoms. ↓

| Okay - so I can't tell if the soreness in my abdomen is the normal stretching (I'm 15 weeks) and if the pink color when I pee is normal spotting, or if I should go get seen. My docs office is closed already. ↑ |

| I had a pinkish color when I went to the bathroom too but it was from blood in my urine. I was also tender in the stomach I would definately at least call your doctor, I have heard that UTI's can cause other complications! :-( ↑ |

| Yeah - this is gross, but after I pee, the urine in the toilet doesn't look right, like there's blood in it. And when I wipe, the blood doesn't seem to come from the vagina, it comes from the urethra. Sorry if TMI:) My doctor probably has an after hours service. I'll call and see what they say. I'm drinking cranberry juice like crazy in the meantime! Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!! ↑ |

| Crap! I keep calling the doctor and all I get is a weird busy signal, not the normal busy signal sound. Hmmmm.....My husband will be home soon. If I can't get through should I go to Urgent Care? I don't have any burning when I pee, which is the symptom I remember most clearly from other UTIs that I've had. ↑ |

| That must have been it. I just got through and I'm waiting for the doctor to call me back. I called my husband and he got so pissed at me for not calling the doctor sooner. He thinks we're going to lose the baby and I'm like chill out!! Lots of women get these when they're pregnant. It's not like I'm waiting until my next appointment to tell the doctor!! He's so much more paranoid with this pregnancy!! ↑ |

| Well I just talked to my doctor and she doesn't think it's a UTI because I don't have the burning or the urgency to pee instantly. She thinks I'm either dehydrated or passing a kidney stone - I've had stones in the past so that's possible. Basically she said to drink like crazy and if it starts to burn to call her back. ↑ |

| well the good thing is that I really trust my doctor. She took great care of me when I was pregnant with Sophie, and she never just "poo poos" symptoms that I have. I'll keep an eye on it. In the meantime, I'm going to od on cranberry juice!! Thanks girls for caring:) ↑ |

the only symptom I ever have is back (kidney) pain.

| I did with both my pregnancies. I actually did not think I had a bladder infection with my son because I didn't have any symptoms until the day I went to wipe and there was blood. I didn't feel like I needed to go all the time nor did I feel any pain going to the bathroom except for the day where I had blood (but not until I sneezed otherwise I probably would not have felt anything). ↑ |

| I hope everything goes well for you! I have had problems with UTI's all my life! It can really make it difficult when ttc. I found that taking a once a day cranberry pill helps dramatically! Usually if I don't get up to go to the bathroom immediately after sex I get one (which doesn't work so well when ttc). Also, If you do get a UTI you can take the cranberry pills once an hour to get rid of it without taking a prescription drug. Hope this helps some of you! ↑ |

| Thanks everyone. I've been drinking a lot of cranberry juice just in case it is a UTI, but I feel a lot better today and there hasn't been any blood in my urine today. I think I probably just passed a small kidney stone. I have a history of them, and as they pass they scrape the urethra and that's how you get blood in the urine. ↑ |
