so i've heard some of you talk about uti's, and i know they're common during pregnancy. About 1 week ago i started having to get up durign the night to pee, and before i go, my belly is very hard and pointy, so after i peed, i'd get really ugly cramps really low in my stomach.
This lasted about a week then went away for about 4 days. i had a dr. appt yesterday and forgot to mention it because i wasnt having those pains anymore. Well, with my luck, these came back as soon as i got home. I dont know if it's a possible UTI. It's like everytime i pee, it feels like i've been holding it forever and i really need to go, but sometimes it's so little that comes out. Then the pain began to go to the right side and back.
I know i should've called my dr. earlier, and right now it's too late cause they're closed. Have any of you had this and what are the symptoms?? Im pretty sure it has to do with my bladder....anyone??? ↓

I had 2 UTI's after my deliveries and I did not have pain when urinating but I did urinate often and not a lot came out too. I had pressure in my vagina it seemed not too painful but annoying like I really had to go. It could definitley be a UTI. Check with your doc and they can do a urine test. One time my doctor prescribed the prescription over the phone after hours without seeing me since all the symptoms were there. So still call anyway. The antibiotics are also safe when pregnant so don't worry. Hope this helps! ↑ |

| Sounds like it could definitely be a UTI. I get them all the time. No fun. I take a one a day cranberry pill (can be bought at Walmart). My doc said they are completely safe to take while pregnant. I take one a day to keep the UTI's away, but when I start to feel like I am getting one I take one an hour for a day or two. That may at least get you feeling better through the night until you can call your doc tomorrow. It may make it go away completely if that is what it is. If it isn't, no harm done. Again, my doc knows exactly how and why I take them, and he agrees they are safe and would rather I take them than to have to take antibiotics. They don't always get rid of it, but it's definitely worth a try. Also make sure to drink more water than normal. You want to help flush out all the bad stuff. Hope I was helpful ↑ |

thanks girls. Mandy, that info helps alot. That's what it feels like, i go alot now and the pain is more annoying than really painful. I dont feel it in my vagina though, it's more really, really, really low in my belly. So all they do is a urine test to find out??
Im gonna call them first thing tomorrow...i cant believe it, this pregnancy has been crazy!!! Vomiting, nausea, headaches, tiredness, yeast infection, and now this!!! Boy did i have an awesome pregnancy with my first....i miss it!!! ↑ |

| yes, very helpful automansgirl....the thing is, walmart is about 30 minutes from here, right around whre my dr. is, so maybe ill just suck it up or go to the dollar store, do u think they'll have those there?? I do drink alot of water, and i've noticed my pee is more like cloudy and white. I googled it and that's also a symptom. Im sure i have a uti...thanks so much!! ↑ |

| You can buy them at any store that sells vitamins. I highly recommend them if you can't get ahold of your doctor. I have found that just taking one or two and I will feel better within a couple of hours. Don't know if the dollor store will have them, but any drug store or grocery store that has vitamins will. Just make sure the bottle says one a day. Some you have to take 2 or 3 a day and they don't work as well. ↑ |

im 17 weeks 4 days. I feel like it's my first pregnancy cause w/ my son i NEVER had ANY problems whatsoever. no sickness, no sleepiness, i was out all the time shopping, movies, everything. Not the smallest cramp, NOTHING. This time around, it is SO different!! i've thrown up too many times, been sick, just to think, what other discomforts are there out there?? i just hope i dont get hemrrohoids!!!

Ha Ha! I am 23 weeks.. I think! I lost track :)
I had horrible beginnings to my pregnancies but this one topped the cake too! Sick until about 19 weeks and cramping and heartburn, constipation. You name it, I got it. No hemmeroids but I did get them after pushing both my other boys out. I didn't even push long but they were larger babies. ↑ |

im afraid of those. hubby has some and they suck!!! poor guy is always complaining...just hope it doesnt happen to me. I cant believe i forgot to mention heartburn....i didnt even know what it was til now...it SUCKS!!!!!!!! i just know it's a girl...a boy wouldnt be this cruel to me, LOL
