welp I am now officially married.. the clerk of the court office was so cheesy, they have this little room set up like the alter ahha so lame. i know im such a criticizing person, my mom was worse though "why the hell arent you smiling" you just got married! haha i was like uhm okay lets announce it to the world! yay! lol welp that is my story, I am now coartney roe, i even asked if i could keep my last name, told them after 20 yrs i was sort of found of it haha.. BLAH.. :) ↓

| Hey Courney. When I got married I walked down the aisle and my family and friends were all saying "SMILE". I smiled in all of my photos before and after the wedding, but when the ceremony was happening IT IS A BIG DEAL and a little nervewraking, so of course I had a serious look on my face. Getting married to someone you really love is a big deal and I am sure that you were/are very happy about this but at the time were still nervous and perhaps sickened by the enormity of it all. Who cares if people are criticizing you, they will anyway, they will find something (shoes, hair etc). I did change my name and my DH was like, "You always jump at the opportunity of putting MY NAME, on everything", and I am like "Our name honey". His surname is his identity and I made it mine too. Many of my friends related their identity to their surname and didnt change it, and there is nothing wrong with that. The only thing that I do say is that when they have kids (and you are) that you will have one name and they will have another and there are prejudicial people out there who might look down on you thinking that you are unmarried etc ( I have seen it happen). But remember DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU, And stuff everyone else who is trying to bring you down. ↑ |

Congratulations!!! Being married can be overwhelming and take time to get use to.
Do not worry what other people think or say, just take your time.
In my case I had no middle name so I turned my last name to my middle name and took his last name :)
I bet you can do something like that. I know how hard it can be giving up you last name after so many years of carrying it.

My hub did not want his father’s wife there so we have decided not to invite anyone. | Hey well its not like im going anywhere, he leaves the 13th, and right now we've got a full schedule for us. last night we went out to dinner with my parents and now we're staying the weekend at his parents. had to drive to tampa this morning, then went out to red lobster, finally got my damn crab leg i wanted grr lol and now my allergies are going haywire so i took a benedryl and i am hoping to pass out. this sunday we are going to see journey/def leppard i had bought tickets for his bday so im excited i just hope i dont get sick! but ill make sure to take pictures over the next week or so and ill def post them up, and ill be in and out on the board when he's doing his thing lol .. welp im gonna go try to pass out, or just eat more chocolate -grins- night girlies! ↑ |
