Hey everyone I went to the doctor...and I'm 37 weeks pregnant the baby is 5 lbs do you think for being this far along the baby should weigh a little more?? She's also 17 1/2 inches long. The heartbeat was 140 and everything else checked out good except for me being tested postive for the beta strep.

I really don't go by what they say the weight is. I have heard of TO many people being in the same situation and when the baby came out, they were bigger than they thought. The ultrasound machines usually turn up to be a little wrong. My sister had an ultrasound before they induced her, and at the time they told her she was one weight---THEN they went ahead and induced her and when she was born---She weighed a differnt weight. I have heard of to many people that has happened to...SO, I think that your baby is probably right on track and your little one will be great! Right before I had my daughter, the Dr felt around on told me she was little.......HA HA---when she came out the Dr who delivered her said "WOW, This little girl is a big one" she was 8' 7"........
If I were you, I wouldn't stress about it! :)
Good luck!!!
