hey just wanted to get some advice on when to pack for hospital, i am 30 weeks??? ↓
|
|
umm lol i didnt pack till i was having contractions ↑ |
everything i packed for baby came in useless ↑ |
You should have been packed about a month ago. ↑ |
really? I havent even thought about packing yet for me...lol ↑ |
Ummm, i packed around 30 weeks but i went to the doctor's for a regular check-up then they told me i was going to be induced. So, i didn't have my overnight back with me. My ssiter brought it to the hospital.
No need to worry really having a bag ready isn't all that important. ↑ |
*it isn't all that important* ↑ |
I was gonna leave till about 32 weeks....maybe I should think about doing it now. ↑ |
im 36weeks and i am barely getting a bag packed. Just take the basics....diapers, onesies, pj's, pads, underwear, and stuff like that that you WILL need. Dont pack any books or puzzles or lotions/oils or stuff like that, im sure you wont need them OR use them. ↑ |
i packed my bags on the day i went into labour LOL ↑ |
I'm 36 weeks and 2 days, getting bad braxton hicks and sharp pains, and don't have anything packed at all LOL. I remember from when I had Noah I didn't really need anything except my camera and clothes to go home in for me and baby so I'm not too worried about it. I just need to make sure Noah's diaper bag is stocked because if I go into labor early he's going to have to go with us since we don't have family or anyone here to watch him. ↑ |
your supposed to pack a bag? i wish some one would have told me! the first baby was emergency c -section and i didnt even have shoes lol
the second was scheduled for a month and i only took clothes to go home in and jammies to wear while i was there. the hospital provides you with just about every thing you need. ↑ |
I packed at about 35 weeks last time and kept the bag in the car. I'm glad I did b/c they ended up not letting me go home after an appt. at the OB at 38 weeks. We live a long way from the hospital! On second preg now and will probably do the same thing. vane20 is right don't bother with lotions, oils, and all that (just don't forget the lanolin!) pack basics and remember comfort is key. :) ↑ |
ya if your breast feeding you def need lanolin ↑ |
ya and bring Pads and Underwear ↑ |
and next time ill bring tank tops and pj pants instead of using their gowns ↑ |
the best thing i brought was pjs for myself. you should pack soonner rather than later. i went into labor at 35 weeks and didnt have time to pack a bag, my mom brought everything to me later. oh also a hair thing was great! ↑ |
a hair thing!! LMAO
a hair tie
ohh man, i for got Tooth paste so make sure you bring that ↑ |
lol thats what i call it :( ↑ |
well i got packed at about 32 weeks...then i got all crazy and repacked everything the night before i was induced at 38 weeks.
i took pjs for the next day and an outfit to wear home (although they sent us home after 24 hours so i just wore my pjs home)
nursing bras
underwear
pads
shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razor, lotion, toothpaste, mouthwash, toothbrush, deoderant, hair brush, hair ties
camera, movie camera
pillow (just because i'm crazy and cant sleep without my pillow!lol)
clothes for my hubby
the only thing i brought for the baby was a going home outfit and a blanket....the hospitals usually provide everything else you will need. ↑ |
ZOEY THANKS I HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT THAT ONE!!! MAYBE I'LL JUST TAKE ONE DIAPER FOR ME!!!! LOL I HATE PADS! = (
ALL CAPS SO YOU WOULDNT MISS IT!!!!!!! HEHE ↑ |
my mom packed once she hit the 3rd trimester, which was good because she was 5 weeks early with all 3 of her pregnancies. You just have to remember that you wont be as big when you come home so mid to late 2nd tri clothes will most likely fit you and it's pretty much a diaper bag for the baby. My husband already has that packed and we haven't even had the baby shower yet...lol. ↑ |
