LOL...thanks, but I only took 2 classes this semester and I don't work, so honestly I think I would have gone crazy w/ out school. Michael and I have this pact that as long as I stay enrolled in college that I don';t have to work...I love school but hate the crappy jobs that you get when you don't have a degree:)

How are you doing vm2b?? I read that you're feeling your little one move around. That must be exciting...you're almost halfway done...I remember when you were still early in your 1st trimester...look how far we've come:)

I took my last final today. I know I have not been on much either for that reason. Plus I need to spend less time on here when I am at work LOL. I am sooooo happy classes are over for a month. I will never again in my life take a sunday class!!

I'm not working at this time and I'm telling ya that I couldn't do it. I feel very self-centered right now, but it's great that you have something else to focus on besides your pregnancy. Also it will help you to find better job in the future :)
I'm doing well, still struggling with the “psychology of being pregnant”. It just feels to weird sometime, nothing like what I expected. We will find out the sex of the baby in 2 weeks, the day after Xmas ;)
You are almost there!!!... Is there any progress? I know you were 2cm and 80% few days ago.

I am good VM2B :) Ya miss me LOL I will be happt aht next semester is going to be much easier. I am only taking 2 classes and they are both online so I don't have to go to campus. This semester I took 4 classes 15credit hours and worked full time. even though 2 of the classes were online I still thought I was going to die! I was just so tired all the time.

Kristy I hope you have made some progress. You need that baby out so you can get ready for the wedding :) Is your dad going to come up for the weddign?

That's a big course load for someone who's working full-time. Hell 4 classes are difficult when you're not working. Are yout aking any classes next semster. I'm taking one class on Tues. 6-9 and then an online class? How much longer do you have before you graduate?

Name: Kristy84 | Date: Dec 12th, 2006 6:24 PM

vm2b...it doesn't hurt per se...they just stick two VERY lubricated fingers inside of you until they reach your cervix...it's not as uncomfortable as a PAP smear.

I am here, I am enjoying my start of my hoildays for 2 weeks. Today I am doing some christmas baking yummmmmy!!
How are you feeling Kristy???? I hope you are having lots of contractions hehehe

Name: Mom2Be2007 | Date: Dec 12th, 2006 7:35 PM
I think people are preoccupied with the holidays. Alot of us are also due fairly soon and are trying to get ready for our little angels.

VM2B-
Kirsty mentioned that when they check your cervix that it does not hurt. 99.9% of the time yes it doesn't hurt. I agree a PAP is actually more uncomfortable. However, at the same time if you are having a contraction whether it be a Braxton Hicks Contraction or actually labor contraction it can definately be very uncomfortable. When the doctor checked me when I started having alot of cramping around 27 weeks there was alot of pressure and it was actually very very uncomfortable. When I was pregnant with my son the only time it was uncomfortable was when I was having a contraction and it was painful when I was in actually labor.

Wow! I was also wondering what contraction pain feels like?
Is it like bad cramping pain like in period but 10 times stronger???

That a question with many different answers....As of right now I feel as if I have my period accompanied by vaginal pain which feels like my little girl is trying to claw her way out. You will also notice during a contraction that your belly (uterus) will tighten.

Some people will tell you that Braxton Hicks contraction do not hurt. Yes and no. You can actually have Braxton Hicks contraction that are not accompanied by pain just as much as you can have some which are extremely painful. You will also hear that, "When you are in labor you'll know."

When I was pregnant with my son and started having Braxton Hicks contraction I feared true labor because my BH were so painful that there were times where I couldn't do anything but lay on the couch and cry. When I finally did go into labor I didn't even know that I was in labor. The only time I felt anything was right after I had gone to the bathroom otherwise I just didn't feel right. I did eventually call the doctor and talked to a nurse who insisted on arguing with me that I had a bladder infection. Well turned out that my contraction where happening every 3 minutes.

I was worried about that too. I was induced with my first one and never had any contractions till I was at the hospital. So I am scared that I won't know I am in labor and I live about 40 minutes or so from the hospital where I am delivering. Hopefully I just know.... Or, maybe I will go over my due date again and have to be induced... I guess you never know....

Still hanging in there kristy? Not much longer, how exciting. I am 36.5 today, ready to be done!!!!!!

for me it hurts when they check my cervix every time. I remember this from my son. I guess my cervix is high and tilted. It honestly felt like they were trying to get in there up the the elbow LOL. When I went into labor I spent the first hour or more thinking that I had to go poop LOL It woke me up in the middle of the night. It was def different then BH contractions though. Infact I do remember feeling the BH contractions a little and I do remember thinking OMG this is it and I went to the hospital twice. Not thinking that I was in labor, but I jsut thought that something was wrong with me. I can't really remember the feeling though. I get them now sometimes and it just feels like she is balling up inside of me and making one area of my stomach tight.

I was given potocin when I went to the hospital to make the contraction that I was having stronger...

I would only recommed to you that if you simply do not feel right to contact your doctor. I was going to the bathroom alot the day that I went into labor but I never put the two together until later in the day. I would go not because I always had to go but because I felt like I had to go all the time. By the time I went in I was already 4 cm and 100% effaced.

Hello ladies...I haven't been having any contractions ecept for some BH and some mild cramping. I do, however, feel alot of cervical pressure and some of that vaginal pain that m2b07 was explaining. I just have a feeling that I'm going to have to be induced, especially if at my dr.s appt. tomorrow, there's still no progress. I'm really scared of induction:( Well I'm about to take my Art History final on-line...ttyl

Kristy you still have time...I went from 0 to 4 cm (not effaced to 100% efface) in 2 days.
