So every time I take it I feel like it is lodged in my chest and it makes me burp about a million times. I drink it with plenty of water and I keep drinking the water even after I have taken the pill because It feels like ti is still there. I also tried eating something, but nothing helps. It is like this just about everytime I take it. I have prenate elite. Does anyone else have this problem or am I just crazy. ↓

| I do from time to time. I have a thing about taking pills anway, and it doesn't help that the prenatal is so big. I also take calcium at the same time which is comparable in size. After I take one, I literally have to wait before I can take the other. If I don't, it just sits in my mouth and I absolutely can't bring myself to swallow it. When they get stuck in my throat or chest, it just makes my fear or whatever worse. I don't know any way to get them "unstuck." It seems like they're there for hours once that happens. ↑ |

| oh mine make me gag hardcore, and then when they're not doing that they make me sick, even the flinstones, so i dont even really take them anymore, and i feel guilty about it but im tired of puking pills make me sick ↑ |

| WHEN I TOOK THEM WITH CHRISTIAN, I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY WERE THESE BIG HORSE PILLS, THAT HAD A YUCKY TASTE TO THEM. I ACTUALLY HAD TO ROLL THEM UP IN PIECES OF FRUIT-ROLL-UP! DON'T LAUGH-I HAD TO IMPROVISE. :) OH, AND THEY WERE A PRESCRIPTION PRENATAL FROM MY OB. NOW THAT I'M TTC, I JUST WENT TO TARGET AND GOT THE STORE BRAND. $5 A BOTTLE AND THEY ARE COATED WITH THIS PURPLE FILM AND ARE VERY SMALL. I NEVER HAD A MORE ENJOYABLE TIME TAKING PRENATAL VITAMINS IN MY LIFE. I EVEN SHOWED THEM TO MY OB AND SHE SAID THEY WERE FINE AND THEY HAD ALL THE SAME EXACT INGREDIENTS PRESCRIPTION PILLS DO. SO, YOU NEVER HAVE TO TAKE THE ONES THEY GIVE YOU. YOU CAN GO GET YOUR OWN. I'M SURPRISED YOUR DOC. DIDN'T GIVE YOU THAT CHOICE. ↑ |

I took these vitamins when I was in my first trimester that were capsules. They were to be taken twice a day. I found them way easier to swallow. The didn't gag me or get stuck and you don't get constipated because it's not one HUGE does of iron. You should have a look for something like that. The ones I used were the brand "SISU" and they were called "multi expecting"

| LOL... i hear ya on the pre nats... what I have to do I cut the pill in two(don't take it as soon as you get up).. i find that's when they make me gag most! n e ways drink a little bit of water before takeing the pill to make sure your taste buds are accepting wather then, if it's ok take 1/2 of the pill don't put it very far back iin your moouth..no further then the middle of your tounge, then take a mouthful of water real fast.. then take the other half... it works useually for me!! hope that helps! ↑ |

Ok ladies,
This is the pill my daughters doctor gave her (prenatal vitamin) it is called CENOGEN ULTRA. It is a caplet type pill the size of an extra strength tylenol caplet. They come bubble packed and they are very easy to get down and don't leave NEARKY the nasty tasye. Ask for it, they should have samples in the office you can try. ↑ |

| Flinstones??? we can take little kid vits? I jsut feel bad because sometimes I don't take them, because I know what is going to happen and it is nasty and last for hours. My dr gave me these because they have omega-6 and I guess it is one of the only rx brands that have it? For me it was cheeper to get and rx then off the shelf, because I get a 90 day supply for only 5.00 through my husbands ins. I am gunna ask my dr about the flinstones I can take that everyday no problem! ↑ |
