Ok I have a serious question, I hadn't had a period since summer of 2001 and then in 2005 I got 1 dec. and 1 in jan 06 but they were very light and like for a day and thats it...I got no more then I got preggie w/ emilee, but it's been so long since I've had a normal cycle, and I'm nursing now so I'm not sure if I will get one after Emilee or even when you get one while your nursing, but I've been heavily crampy since Tues. I was just wondering does anyone else cramp up badly days before their cycle, should I be gettinf one yet, my body is being all stupid on me this week?

sorry hun I think that each woman is different when nursing. SOme women never get their cycle and some get it every month. My dr did tell me that that when your cycle comes back the first one is usually pretty crampy and heavy. Maybe you are going to start your cycle.

I wouldn't think it's your period... Sounds like exhaustion to me... Do you always nurse in the same chair?? Maybe try another spot... I got really bad back aches when I was nursing my daughter and my hubby got me a new cushion and Boppy and I was much better...

Nursing does cause your uterus to shrink back to size maybe it's just that... Any other symptoms besides the cramps??

my friend is breast feeding only. sam as you about every 3hrs round the clock. Her daughter is 6weeks old. She stopped bleeding from the post baby stuff at about 4 weeks after delivery, but now she is cramping and bleeding heavy. Our dr said that it is porb her period returning earily since everything on the inside is fine.

I never had a period when I was nursing. Cramps are normal. Unless there is crazy bleeding have some tylenol and and relax, I think you are exhausted...

make sure that you are hydrated too. That can cause cramping too.
