| Most people are stuck at 1-2cm for weeks. Sorry, not what you want to hear. But if your contractions are not causing dilation I'm afraid you're experiencing false labor. If your contractions are strong and consistent, they would keep you in the hospital and help to further labor along. How far apart were your contractions? How far along are you in weeks? ↑ |
| I was in labor for 38hours and that was heck. You could just be like me I didnt dilate but my contractions didnt stop and they had to give me pitocin to make me dilate since I was not pregressing. If they feel your need to dilate faster they will admit you and give you pitocin as they did me but unfortunalty other than that you just have to wait it out ↑ |
| when i had my labor with my 1st child i was 1 cm with contractions every 5 minutes for about 48 hours .. yes i do mean 48 hours. i managed to dilate from 1 to 10 in the next 3 hours after .. so then i had my child. it was 52 hours of labor in total ... but seeing my child was worth all the pain. i couldnt have done it without lamaze though ... ↑ |
| when i had my daughter i was at 3 cm for a couple weeks then when i went to the hospital to be induced i was at 5....4 hours of labor later i had her!! i was only in pain for 3 hours then i had an epidural and that put me right at 10cm..haha and i only pushed for about 10 min.....EASY BIRTH...thank god though i was sooo scared ↑ |
