How 'bout a compromise with Ava Maria pronounced ay-vuh. That's how some spell it instead of Eva. Just a thought- :) ↑ |
Eva Maria personally....
Im only 7 weeks and we have our names for both genders picked out.
how would you pronounce Ave? Is it like Ave-uh? or is it just ave? ↑ |
i like eva better..its less churchy...and Ave...just reminds me of sitting bored in church.. ↑ |
Yeah...Ave Maria is a song we used to sing every Tuesday in Primary school. And every day for the month of Spring.
Don't ask. LOL.
Definitely go with Eva.
It wouldn't be nice to be stuck as Hail Mary for your life... ↑ |
LOL ave is pronounce AH Veh
Yeah iguess it is pretty religeous but alex and i are catholic and he picked eva because it is a derivitive of eve...
We really don't know right now...maybe when she is born she will look like a steve...after all you never know ↑ |
Over here it's pronounced Ah-vay.
And we are a pedominantly Catholic nation. Lol. That's probably why I don't like it.
I'm Baptist myself..though I don't practise. Yikes!
I really like the way he think Eva is nice because it's a derivitive of Eve.
And I think Eve is just as beautiful! ↑ |
where do you live lola? ↑ |
OMG dumb ass computer ^^^^ answer to wrong post LOL sorry ↑ |
I am a catholic and I would say as a woman, teacher and potential mother that although AVE MARIA is nice I would NEVER name my child that, it is opening the door to potential bullying. Eva is lovely and I would have that as a first name and Maria as the middle name so that she is always called Eva, not Eva Maria all the time. That's my opinion, like it or lump it but I hope it helps. ↑ |
eva maria 100%.. i wanted eva for my daughter. but boyfriend didnt want it lol. ↑ |
I like Ave Maria... but that's just me ;) ↑ |
I always think about these things from a teacher's perspective too, so I would choose Eva because it's more obvious how to pronounce it. ↑ |
