today is coles first birthday woohoo! but i feel like a crap mom. see with each of my girls we had great big parties, we have for every birthday. but for cole's we aren't doing much. see we are moving this weekend so money is tight and i don't really have anywhere to have a party anyways. plus my grandma is having surgery today to remove a tumor from her lungs. so today i got cupcakes and a little cake for cole and told randy's family to come by my mother in law's this evening if they want a cupcake and to see him blow out his candle. then in a couple weeks when my grandma is hopefully home and up to it, we will have a little party with my side of the family so she can be there too. i mean, i know that this is plenty to make him happy right now, heck just put the cake in front of him and he'll be good lol but i just worried that when he gets a little older and realizes that the girls got big parties with lots of people, food, and presents that he'll be really upset. ↓

Happy 1st Birthday to Cole!
The cupcake and the close family sounds great.
If you are really worried about issues arriving when they get older and look back at pics what I would suggest that give cole or do something for Cole for his 1st birthday that you didn't do for the girls.
Like take one year birthday photos(If you haven't taken 1st birthdat photos for the girls)
Or get him a 1st birthday plate and have everyone sign it. Add alittle something special to "make up" for not having the big party. But in reality I bet he'll love the cupcake! And when he gets older and IF hehappens to ask about what he did for his birthday and you tell him what you told us he'll be just fine and I be he'll understand!
Don't beat yourself up for this, you are NOT a bad mom. You got him through his 1st year of life, congrats to you, lol.

| First off, happy birthday Cole! You aren't a bad mother - You're having a lovely family party for your son to celebrate his birthday. At this age, his cake, his gifts and his family around him giving him attention will keep him more than happy. ↑ |

hey thanks everyone. we had a nice time, my mother in law pissed me off but thats another story lol
i took a spin off the plate idea and i got a plain white book and i'm going to pass it around to family and friends and have them write a little something to cole in it and then put in some pics and make a really cool scrap book! ↑ |
