What face washes are off limits....i have never heard that and i went to school for cosmotology and that includes skin care...I know face medications are off lllimits...like accutane...but face washes ...they might be a little more drying or so just cause of hormaonal changes...

I use an apricot scrub and one clean and clear deep down cleanser...They are cheap and i have found i like these ones over expensive ones...

I didn't know that either, I like that clean and clear morning burst, it smells great. I also didn't know untill this time around which shame on me I still do, is teeth whiteners is also a no no.

I can see teeth whitners being bad...becasue our teeth are directly linked with our circulatory system...so those chemicals do get in your system...thats why its important to take car of you teeth when preggers...but face wash is safe...

firsttimer,
what face washes are off limits then???

yeah egg nog not so good...and cookie dough...which i love...

well there are active acid ingredients in face washes which are not safe. like in biore it's sylliac acid (i know i spelt it wrong) and in things like proactiv there is an acid that starts with a B. and in the what to expect when you're expecting it specifically says all face washes aren't ok.

omg, after four kids I should know all this......I have had lots of egg nog and cookie dough. We have huge tubs of it that I ordered from my kids school fundraiser, and we like it right out of the tub.

it's the raw eggs that makes the cookie dough not ok

I used Proactive during my entire pregnancy with my son. I even talked to my doctor about it and he didn't have a problem with me continuing to use it. I know use Murad Acne Treatment which has a step of 1.0% sylliac acid gel. I was told that as long as I didn't use the gel more then once or twice a day everything would be fine.

sacylic acid is okay when your pregnant it just might be very drying and so is Proactive which contains Bezol peroxide...these aren't gonna hurt the baby...they just might make you have a dry red face cuz your skin is different...Its the same as hair color...they do not get into your blood stream...and even though they do penetrate your pores they the amount of chemical is minute compared to what is needed to hurt your baby....You best bet do a small area on the bottom side of your cheeks and see if you develop a reaction...if yoiu do switch products if not..then you are okay

There seems to much to worry about during pregnancy that you can or cant have, face wash will be very low on my list.
Soon pregnant people will not be aloud to leave the house.

With food, I think everything in moderation. My doctor laughs everytime I ask her something that I heard that I cant have or due. If you think to much about it , it will drive you crazy.
There is stuff I know I can have but now I wont because I have read what people have posted and worried myself sick.

This is my first pregnancy but I haven't been doing it all by the book. :-/ I've learned through friends and relatives that not everything is so damn bad as the books make it seem

momo-
Yeah I did notice that some of the areas on my skin are a little dryer then normal. I assumed it was because of the gel. I just use a little extra moisturizer in those areas.

for me it is really hard not to do things by the book, because my sister emphasisesthat and she just had a pregnancy last year, she yells at me if i do things wrong.
