| When i found out i was pregnant, i took one of those test where you see the words written out, then i took one of those line test jsut cuz i wanted to see it and it was faded but still kinda there( this scared me because i was afraid that i wasn't pregnant anymore.) so i took another clearblue test and it said pregnant again. try that ↑ |

| HPTs rarely give a false positivie. If you're late and you think you're pregnant, go to the doc and have a quantitative blood test. It's a more definitive indicator of whether you're pregnant or not, and if you are, you'll know how far along you are. ↑ |

| I took one of those e.p.t' s and my positive line showed up immediatly and the line was extremly faint. I took it again later in the day and the same thing happend. I was only like a day or two late. I went to the doctor and am now 8 weeks pregnant. As long as the positive line is there at all no matter how faint it still means positive. But you should go to the doctor to be sure. ↑ |

I am 22 years old and I am in my second month of taking Clomephene to assist me in ovulating! Well, today is day 28 and as per the norm I am expecting to get my period, however nothing has shown. So I went and bought a Clear Blue Digital Preg Test. The result showed that I was not preggers, however when I ejected the catridge there was a second faint line! I could not believe that it was there so I showed my husband! He saw it. So now I believe that it is there! I know that they say that any line there means you are preggers, however I have had this happen to me before! The test says to re test in three days! A line there is present because you do have a reading of hCG, however it may be too low to determine pregnancy! The best bet is to have a blood test! I am scared I will get another negative, however confident I wont because of the treatment that I am on. And I am only on it due to the point that I do not ovulate like most! I ovulate like once every five years! Sucks to be me!!

I am the same, I see all of these faint lines and no one can see them! However over time that have gotten darker! I have taken the second test and the same thing! I have done other brands of tests and discovered that there is a second line on them too! The most frustrating thing is getting your hopes up and finding out it must have been a dodgy test! I have learnt over time to assume nothing and go with the flow!

| Does the second line have any color? A positive faded line will have the same color as a positive line, only much much much lighter. I used a First Response test, and the second line was the palest pink I've ever seen, and the doctor confirmed by a blood test that I am pregnant. Evaporation lines are usually a greyish color. | yeah they do ave colour in it got a slightly darker line this morn but i went over the arrows that they tell you not 2 it was a test srip one and it started of werid but by the end of 3 mins ther was control line and a secound line much clearer results not like ive bin gettin so i did the onther 2 and they was much much fainter u ave 2 really look hard 2 c them i want 2 go 2 docs but these test was of ebay and they detect 10ml of hcg and im sure docs wud detect much more so it will prop b a neg im gunna wait till nxt wk and c wot happens thanx girls keep me posted cassie xxx ↑ |

| You're right, usually the urine tests at the doctor's office detect the same amount of hCG as an over the counter test. Waiting a week before seeing the doctor is a good idea. When you do see your doctor, ask for a quantitative blood test. That'll tell you if you're pregnant and how much hCG is in your blood. ↑ |

No matter how much lighther one line is compared to the other, if you see two lines you're pregnant. I would go to your doctor and have him confirm it.

| As long as there is a second line I would safely say you're pregnant. That's how mine was also when I took it when I was 4 weeks pregnant...very faded. But it was there. But you'll need to go to the Doctor anyway and they will do a urine test most likely to confirm it. ↑ |

| It's always possible after reading how many people go through the false negative thing, but I wouldn't get your hopes too high if they did a blood test at the clinic. Also, how do you know the amount of Hcg detected in the test? I was just wondering, I've never seen that before, but I have no clue what good numbers are. mine came out positive right away. Anyway, good luck, but don't be to hard on yourself if it doesn't happen this time, you'll get there! ↑ |

| chris, the lower the number the better it said 10ml on the test it detects earlier then other tests and at the clinic it was a blood test but i was not preg that month but gettin faint positives again a few days b4 my period due again so im not gettin my hopes up this time as they dont come up straight away it after 5 mins in time limmitbut not sure if ther evap lines im reading ↑ |

| When i took my first preg test the positive line was very dark and the regular line that shows all the time didn't show at all. Then within a few mins the regular line showed up and the positive line faded out. I ended up being preg. My advice to you is to go to a doctor or take another preg test but not the same type of one. | The last time i took a test i got a faded result and the doctor confirmed that it was even a faded result two week later i had a miscarriage, IM NOT SAYING THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO YOU, i would take another test and see what happens, then go to your doc...i am now pregnant again for a 2nd time and it turned positive the instant i peed on it very very dark lines so i have faith this time GOOD LUCK I WISH YOU THE BEST ↑ |

| mine had a faded line too but it was still a positive result. If it is a faded line it still means it is positive it is faded probably because u are in early stages of pregnancy and ur hormone levels are not high enough to detect the pregnancy. ↑ |

| Hi Katie, I believe that you are the tests did the same thing to me and every day they just kept on getting darker. CONGRATS!!! are you happy, you should probably go and make yourself an appt. with an OB and she can tell you a little more. ↑ |
