My complete guess is it is your hips slowly spreading. It is preparing for child birth.

Hey christen that is just your hips spreading and the baby is making room for itself in there nothing to worry about, and sorry to say it only gets worse as the months go on, I am now 37 weeks and I am in tremendous pain from my hips, if I sit for long periods of time I just get the worst pain, there are a few stretches that you can do and sleep with a pillow between your knees which will take the strain off but really none of that helps me. Good luck to you and I hope it gets better!

thats crazy because it just started this weekend. i was like holy crap. i can't even stand to put my shoes on like balance on one foot yeah right. but when i sit down it is like right near my pelvic area almost like pressure right there but i find that odd because my baby is transverse so does that have more of an effect? ty for all the advice.

yeah but mine lasts all day long and at night i can't roll over it hurts sooooo bad it wakes me up. someone on another board had said they had the same thing and it was called symphisis pubic dysfunction where your pubic bone spreads just a little to far just enough to put you in pain all the time =( i have an appointment on monday 24th so i think i'm going to ask for some pain meds then because i can barely walk and i look funny lol

Okay because I had no clue as to what was going on I went online to see if there were some reason as to why you might be experience this type of pain. What I found was this.

Thie type of pain is most often related to a ligament that is attached to the side of the uterus and becomes greatly stretched as the uterus is expanding. Women experience this at different times of the the pregnancy, and some have more problems with it then others. Second time mums adn beyond seem to have more pain the first time mums. Sometimes that pain is worst between 12 and 24 weeks - after which the uterus becomes better supported by the pelvis. Some women have some relief with the use of a maternity girdle, which supports the uterus. Control top tights have also been recommended.
Pain while walking could also be the seperation of the pubic bone.

I started having this pain already, at 6 weeks, because my hormones are like 3 times higher than average for how far along I am. It's making all the ligaments in my hips and knees hurt. Even my ankles hurt a little. I guess it is caused by your ligaments softening some, and not supporting whatever they are attached to as well. The doctor told me that it will get worse and worse for a while, but should get better around 6 months.
