well you can see it early on with an ultra sound, but I think between 8-12 weeks with a dr's doppler, but sometimes later then that.

yep just like the other ladies said... sometimes as eary as 8 weeks sometimes not till 12 weeks.

I heard it at 9w but they said that was pretty early.

it also depends on how much weight you have around the middle. It is much easier to hear on thin women

9 weeks is what dr.s generally agree upon.

I heard the heartbeat on my last doctors appointment. I was 11 weeks 6 days. it was so cool!

I heard mine at the 12 week mark
I saw it flutter on the ultrasound at 8 weeks

it varies for every woman and with what equipment you use, I heard mine at 11 weeks with a fetal doppler but it was hard to find, theres ones you can get at wal-mart that don't really work until the 3rd trimester so if you get one of those and don't hear it don't worry....alot of people I know tried to hear the heartbeat and didnt and got all worked up but everything turned out just fine

They can usually hear the heart rate at 9 to 10 weeks. However, depending on the position of your uterus it could take longer.
