i thought that when you're pregnant your levels of HCG go up...but looking at pregnancy tests, i bought an answer + which you can take 4 days before your missed period and it can detect 100mi HCG...but the Clear Blue/Easy and others that you can't take until you actually MISS your period detect only 25...this doesn't make much sense to me
someone PLEASEexplain?!?!?! :)

they do go up and don't start to drop until several months into pregnancy. The test that tell you how soon you can test are based on how soon the avg womans HCG levels start to rise. Some test that detect even low amounts will say to wait until after your missed cycle, becuase by then your HCG levels should have risen enough to be detected. The ones who say that you can test before are just taking the chance that your levels will be elevated sooner. It is just a way to sell more product. On avg your HCG level will double every 48-72 hours. Hope this helps.
