ok i just need to vent for a minute here, so just ignore this if you want!! LOL....ok about a month ago my husband came home from work and said they were going to have like a year end get - together thing at this local pub here on Dec.13th. He said they're all just going to have a few drinks and some appies and that all the wives and girlfriends are invited. I thought, we'll that's nice..cause whenever they all get together it's just everyone he works with and they all talk about work related crap and stuff!! So, I thought, well this will be fun. But before I could say anything he starts ranting that he thinks it's so stupid that they're inviting all the wives....he says, why can't we just have a few beers with just us guys from work? So, I thought ok nevermind....I don't want to be someplace where I know he doesn't want me to be, so I just say forget about it and go ahead and have a good time. Well he comes home lastnight and says, well we have to find a babysitter for Anika cause you should come to this dinner thing tomorrow night. I told him that it was too short notice and I didn't want to go anyways. Then he's get all mad and says it's important that I go, cause all the other wives are going to be there and he'll be the only one there without his wife. Well, I starting to fume!!! So the only reason he wants me to be there NOW, is because otherwise he'll be the only schmuck there who didn't want his wife there. He can't say we couldn't get a sitter, cause who can't get a sitter with a months notice? i'm just so upset, that all the other guys had no problem inviting their wives and James waited to the last day, only because he didn't want to look like an idiot!!!!!! Why doesn't he ever want me to go places with him??? am I so ugly that i embarrass him or what's the deal....i didn't think i was that repulsive!! LOL...what other reason could there be???? There were about 5 or 6 events that happened with everyone at his work this summer and not one time did he ever invite me to come. except this one wedding, only cause the invite was to the both of us not James and guest!! does he hate me or something??? i really don't get it at all!! ↓

| all the other years before, there would be parties and things with them all throughout the summers (his job is seasonal...in the summer time) and he'd always be like, come one lets go lets party let have fun, whatever....NOW that we have a baby AND i'm pregnant again he never asks me to go anywhere. I can still have fun and not drink AND i at home with Anika all day everyday...i would love to get out and do something. He knows that too...i'm always telling him how i want a night out on the town sometime soon, and he says yeah this weekend maybe we'll get a sitter and call up a few people, but does it ever happen? noooo..he's always got some excuse. i mean I did gain a bit of weight when I had Anika but not very much and i hardly look preg, yet so it can't be that!! i just don't know...it's so frustrating!! ↑ |

| oh yeah...he normally only works in the summer time....usually done in Sept. but they needed him until dec 15th this year for some reason!! lol...if people confused why i said it was seasonal but they're having a year end thing in the winter! LOL... ↑ |

| they are such dumbasses eh? ugh....you know there are studies now that show it may be possible for two women to have a baby, but they would only be able to produce other girls, because sperm is the only thing that hold the Y chromosome? but if they can do this, who needs em??? lol...there's something to think about! ha ha ha ha ↑ |

My husband used to do that, they started with poker nights etc, then me and the other wives started having our own, pokers nights, wine & cheese nights, pedicure Sundays- so the men got a little jealous I think so now we all do poker night together, even though we usually take there money.
Guys do need there time together, but my husband has football in the summer and hockey in the winter -so they have enough guy time. ↑ |

| Sounds like you guys need to seat and talk. His behavior doesn't make sense. I would confront him about it, and tell him how I feel. Maybe it's not about you and it's about him just missing having "guys fun time" only. We girls need those times as well. However he needs to be aware of how he can do so without hurting your feelings, and respect you as a wife and human been. and I know he'll make up same lame excuse (he's really bad at them) why i'm not there, and then people will just think i'm being a snobby bitch....not showing up for another get-together yet again!! F!@#$.The more I think about it the more pissed off i get. I'm done being hurt and upset about it, I'm just plain pissed right off now!!

I just know this is one of those issues that he'll think I'm being completely unreasonable about and will not listen to me even if i did try to explain to him how i felt. if thinks i'm wrong, man do i hear about it. and I just don't have the energy right now to argue with him, which is exactly what it'll be. He can't talk civily if he doesn't agree with something. I spend all day looking after Anika AND i'm pregnant and i'm just too tired to deal with him. I just can't win with this one!! LOL....ugh...I think i'm gonna clean my house. it's the only thing that works for me when i'm this mad. At least my house will be spotless after this!! LOL ↑ |
