hey, i don't know id anyone noticed i hadn't been on for awhile but.....i had my baby! tuesday at 3pm cole edward was born weighing in at 8lbs 5 oz, 21 1/2" long. he had a head full of dark brown hair and has to be the cutest baby boy i've ever seen :) he's practicaly perfect in everyway, except for a little jaundice. they started him on a blanket thursday night and we go in a little bit to get his levels checked to see whether he will be able to come off of it soon....keepin my fingers crossed! ↓

LOL i did notice you were gone, but CONGRATS!!!!!! thats a nice size baby :) when Tyler was born he was alittle bit jaundice, but he didnt need any thing like the blankets juts a few walks in his stroller in just his diaper
ohh and if you do take him for walk, dont walk too far, we did that the day after i got home ... and OHH MY GOD!!! i couldnt walk the next day !!! LOL

labor went pretty well. i was induced.
randy and i got to the hospital alittle after 6am and they did all there blood tests and poking and proding and got the pit hooked up about 7:30am. the doc came in and broke my water around 8am. things we slow going for alittle and the pain was getting pretty fierce so when the nurse checked and said i was only at 4cm i said bring on the epi! that was horrible!!!! apparently i have a weird back or something and it took 12 trys to get it going right!!! it was awful! i was crying the whole time, i'm still all bruised up and sore, the whole small of my back. but anyway, what was sposed to take about 5min took about 30.....but after that i was feeling pretty good. i could still feel the pressure from the contractions but not alot of pain.
at around 2pm i told the nurse i was starting to have quite a bit of pain and she checked me and i was at 9cm. then about 2:30 we notice that my epi cord and come broken and the stuff was running out all over the floor! she was like "no wonder your starting to feel so much pain....i wonder how long its been like this?"
so she called in my doc to have him check to me to see if could go ahead and start to push before all the pain med wore off. he said there was still some cervix left and had me try to push past it.....i could. so at 2:50 i started to push and at 3pm on the dot my little man came out! it was great! ↑ |

Aww congrat's!
My little one had janudice as well...But she didn't need anything, they just said feed her well and that was it.
What's a blanket?!

well he sleeps great! he has been sleeping a 3 hour stretch and then gets up for about an hour and then sleeps for another 3 hour stretch. it's pretty nice.
the blanket is a soft light panel that he has to have against his bare back as much as possible. it's one of the blue lights like they use at the hospital it's just that with this we can use it while holding him, in his bassinet, or in his bouncer seat.
i was 38+1 wks when they induced me....
okay i think that was all the questions :) i don't have much time right now for getting online but i'll be on as often as i can....geesh 3 kids 3 and under are alot of work :) i would love to show everyone some pics but i don't know where i can post pics online for you all to see them....any suggestions? ↑ |
