When I had my son I pushed for 5 hours and then had a c-section, but I know I was sore and swollen down there for probably 2 weeks or so. If you tore or had stitches it's normal to be sore, but if you didn't and the pain doesn't go away you may want to get checked out. Try using tylenol for the pain and ice. Hopefully that will help. I hope you feel better soon.

Danese, there is this spray, I think it's called dermoblast, that you spray on the perineum area and it numbs it. I was pretty sore with Sophie and I used that for about 2 weeks every time I went to the bathroom. I remember I had an achy sore feeling for a good two - three weeks. But the worst stinging pain stopped after 2 weeks.
