i'm 40 weeks pregnant my due day was may 1st and i didnt have my baby does that mean theres something wrong or the babys just not ready yet..?? i went to the doctor today and they said i'm only 1 1/2 cm dyalated ↓

| Chantelle, I was 41w 2 days before he showed up and for about 4 weeks of that I was 2cm dilated. Due dates are just a rough estimate. Only 5 percent of preggos end up having em on their due date. Try not to worry...your baby just isn't ready to come out yet :) ↑ |

| some times babies need alittle bit of help coming out, but they wont let the baby stay in there too long, she or he will come out when they are ready, just relax :) and SLEEP!! lol ↑ |

| Just wondering 'cause if there isn't a reason, why not just let it happen when it happens? I can understand not more than two weeks, soemtimes even three if there is enuff fluid, but I don't quite understand pushing the issue after only a week...well I do understand wanting to see them and being done with the uncomfortableness :) I don't mean to be rude, I just don't understand some doctors wanting to induce too early. ↑ |

| at 2 weeks sometimes, the babies start to loose the protective coating on them, it starts with a V i just cant remember what it was called, but any ways, there skin become almost pruny like being in a bathtub for too long and their skin is almost falling of in some cases ↑ |

ya im sure you will have your baby soon enough, just relax, and if you want do some research on natural ways of induction that you can do at home, some ladies have tried some and you can get their input on some of the things that they have tried, most of us are pretty good about helping out, but just make a post about safe do it your self inductions and evey one will share what they have tried and if it worked or not.
im not sure if your single or not buy if you hubby fiance (spelling) or bf is around sex is a good induction method!! lol

| Well it really does help release oxytocin and if your going to be induced, they use some akin to that...pitocin usually. So go for it and have fun and good luck! ↑ |
