So thursday night, i had made plans to go linedancing at cowboys with my best friend, also the godmother of braden. i told her ill be there at 9 to pick you up, i get there, shes not there, i wait, and close to 10 she shows up. with her friend. okay whatever she can go too, so i wait as they eat, and get changed, b.c they had gone to islands of adventures earlier. cool whatever. 1030 rolls around, and we leave, we get there at about 1045, and i was like i plan on staying to at least 1230.. 1110 rolls around, "we want to go home" well thank you for ruining my night. so i beared a smile and was like okay. said bye to my friends i hadnt seen in a year b.c ive been pregnant and gone. well we leave i drop her off come home and sit home alone with braden and my mom.
so today, i needed to go buy clothes, and i called and asked hey you wanna go, one of uor mutual friends was there too, and i was like yeh sure she can go, but i need to run to subway for my mom real quick, okay cool. so i pick them up, i go to subway, i come out with the food and get into the right turning lane to go to my house, they wanted to see the baby anyways, well as im doing this, she was like take me home. her fiance, "supposedly" called. i was like you know whatever so i smiled and brought them back to her apt. once again. so now im sitting here, not even my sister wants to go clothes shopping with me, my mom is gonna be watching braden so i can get out, and none of my "friends" answer their cell phones.
so not only didnt i get food b.c i didnt want to be rude and eat in front of my friends, im now sitting here with braden asleep, clothesless, and in tears. yeh im probably over reacting, but dog damnit i just had a kid, my husband is in another fucking country, and my best friends dont even want to be around me when my mom gives me the opportunity to go out and have somewhat of a normal life. i wanna call her so bad and tell her THANK YOU FOR BEING A DUMB BITCH AND HURTING MY FEELINGS.. not once, but twice in a 4 day period. assholes. ↓

This happens. If you have been friends for 8 years you were childhood friends and you have both gone on to lead separate lives, you cannot expect the relationship to be the same and have the same intimacy as it once did. I had friends that I went to school with for 12 years and then when I went to uni the contact was lost and then it was awkward, I have had some friends for the last 15 years (since year 8) and some have been real close but once again the intimacy is gone, there are only a few who I can totally spill the beans to, and even if I don't she knows me best and knows anyway.
Don't be too angry. if you don't let go just drop your expectations of what you want from her, also when you phone her make sure you are clear eg. "Hey _______ I really need to get some clothes, as you appreciate I am kind of sick of my maternity wear. Mom is looking after Braden so I have to really focus on getting clothes and I would love it if you would be able to come and help me, your opinion means a lot to me. If you are busy or don't want to feel free to say no. Did you want to meet me there at say 10am?"

Coart- I am so sorry she is being selfish and hurtful. First of all if she were a friend she would realize how busy you have been and HELLO you are moving to another country soon. I know who was worried with her when she got sick.. it was you. Dont you worry honey she will realize how she has acted when either she gets off the drugs and becomes a mommy herself or once you ha gone to turkey she will realize you are gone now and you can not hang out anytime. I would let her know how she made you feel. Even if its not telling her off, I think you owe it to yourself to let her know she has hurt you. This has happened to me some of my closest friends I had in highschool I have nothing in common with now, I still talk to some of them but that is about it. Dont let her hurt your feelings you are so much better than that! You are amazing and strong and anyone would be damn lucky to have you as a friend!
