So I am about 24 weeks pregnant and my mother informed me a while ago that she does not want to be in the delivery room under no circumstances. Thats fine my mother and law is great and she says she would be of course my mom is 8 hours drive away and my mother in law is 5 days drive or a plane ride :) my hubby is to be deployed on jaunary 4th our baby is due febuary 28th so we had plans to go home for x-mas so it was no big deal to have my baby there. However I am planning on storing my car at my moms house and she wants to see the baby. However my mother does not like driving long distances and she does not like freeways or a lot of cars unless she has to. So I have been informed I will fly back to her place alone mind you get off the airplane go down to baggage get on a shuttle bus or a rental car and head to her house which is an hour and a half drive a way.... argh I needed to vent , its like hello baby will be on the outside, lets see how much fun it will be dragging luggage a car seat and a kid through the airport, I have mind to leave my car here at my freinds house and have my freind pick me up from the airport and then make the trip up and back to her place later on but I know she would be very disapointed.

Oh Sally, is there any chance that she may change her mind. This will no doubt be a difficult time as your husband will be away and I assuming that this is your first baby so you will need as much support as you can get. To me it seems redicilious that you will have to go through this ordeal with the car. Is it possible that she fly to be with you to see the baby? Also the expense of you going there is silly. You and your baby need an early routine and you need to settle at home. I don't blame you for venting. but your mum will understand. I hope.
