try.... vacuuming
sitting her bouncy seat on the counter next to the sink
bringing her in the bathroom while you shower,
car rides,
hold her with her tummy against your arm and her head in your hand like a football and sway back and forth,
aside of all that sometimes there is just nothing you can do. My kenzie was very colic an I thought I was going to lose it.. only sleeping 15 mins at a time it was so aweful... but they do grow out of it... make sure you take breaks go outside by yourself for 5 mins so you do not lose your mind!!!

Possibly a urinary tract infection, happens often and it's painful when we pee, poor baby :-( or ear infection. Formula\milk. Lots of singing and walking the floors! Usually when doctors have NO CLUE what the case may be they will say "Colic" Sorry to hear that and I hope everything gets better for you quick! :-)

hi amy
my son also had colic as a newborn,he would be up all nigth, LITERALLY, crying nonstop. i lived with my parents, and everyone would be in the room helping me out; even my dad. i know it's so frustrating, but what worked for my baby was chamomille tea. if your feeding ur little girl formula, use the warm tea in place of water. the dr. told me this and trust me, it worked. even though the colics didnt stop, the teas would calm him down and we would both get some rest. try it and see if it works. another awesome tip is take her for a ride in the car. before you know it, she'll be asleep. good luck and hand on, they will be gone before you know it!

Hi i know all about colic my son had it bad when he was a baby!
You could try colief drops to put in her bottle and dont worry if you are breast feeding you can still use!
All it does is breaks down the lactose in the milk and makes it easier to diguest.

SORRY ABOUT BAD SPELLING! LOL

If you baby does have colic there is nothing you can do to make it go away. There are a few things that you could try to sooth her in her time of discomforted:
* If you are formula feeding you may want to try a different
fomula to a soy based formula.
* If you are breastfeeding - Some women have found that
certain foods can make colic worse cruciferous vegetables
(cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, sprouts and parsnips),
beans, onions, garlic, apricots, melon, spicy foods, caffeine
and alcohol. To identify which foods it might be it is suggested
that you introduce each one back into your diet slowly.
* If there is a history of milk sugar intolerance (lactose)
breastfeeding mother could try to eliminate cows milk from
their diet. Sometimes babies are unable to digest lactose as
well.
* Make sure to burp frequently. If bottled feed try to feed the baby in a different position to prevent the baby from swallowing to much air or use a bottle and teat design to reduce the amount of air the baby is swallowing during feeding (such as a curved bottle, a bottle that has a collapsible bag inside or a bottle with a vent).

Some soothing techniques that could be helpful are:
* Carry the baby in a front sling or back pack
* Wrap him/her up snugly in a blanket (swaddle)
* Keep the baby moving, whether it is in a swing or you rocking
the baby
* Place the baby near a continuous noise or vibration from a
household appliance (dishwasher, vacuum cleaner or
washer-dryer.
* Take the baby for a car ride or a walk
* Give the baby a pacifier to suck on
* Rub the baby's tummy or back
* Take a shower together - the warm water may be comforting.

When my son was born the doctor claimed that my son had colic. I was pretty sure that was not his problem. I switched him from his family practitioner to a peditrician because he continue to argue with me. His peditrician told me that he actually had acid reflux.

My mother has had four children and I am pregnant now. She told me that we all had colic, and her doctor gave her the name of a chiropractor. I guess alot of the time when you have the baby naturaly it causes the babys neck and back to go out badly, and can cause colic. Try finding a really good chiropractor that you trust and that will deal with your little angel. See if that will help.
