I took her in today for her ear re-check and I wanted to mention a cough that she still had after 6 weeks.......the meds they gave didn't work anyhow the dr thinks she either has walking pheumonia, asthma, or swallowed something down the wrong pipe.......so any of which I hope she doesn't have.........I didn't realize how bad the dr traumatized her 3 weeks ago when she went in for the ear infection.....they had to dig her ears out and that was the second time anyhow as soon as the nurse came and called us from te waiting room she went ape shit and then she came unglued everytime the dr touched her even looked at her and on top of it yep she had to have her ears dug in yet again......as if that weren't traumatizing enough for her they wouldn't let me come in for the x-ray.......I know about the expousre and all but my son could have sat in the hall for a moment and I could have worn an apron or even stepped out for a moment....no instead they take my 16 month baby not only in another room but through or doors and down the hall for 20 min. i seriously had tears in my eyes she doesn't like ppl she doesn't know already and then the dr office experience and now this I tell my stress is so high right now......
We'll get the results back later today so please keep good thoughts........oh yeah I did mention her pigion toes and he wants to keep an eye on her hip development so we'll re-check later........
Oh yes and to top it off I feel like an even biger heal than I already do because my friend cherrygirl that i introduced on here called yesterday and asked if i thought her sil was in labor because she had some back cramps and i said if she thought she needed to go to the dr to be safe go but it sounded normal to me and maybe braxton hicks because she was only 36 weeks weeks well cherrygirl called this am and said she's 10 cms and getting ready to push.............So while Emilee is in your thoughts please keep cherrygirls new family member in there as well....

OK I JUST GOT THE RESULTS.........NOT GOOD AT ALL.....I'M READY TO CRY........
She has bronchiolitis, walking pneumonia, and early inactive airway diesease which is basucally asthma!!! I am so upset, my poor little girl I know all this is not serious, but the asthma is longterm and unyet decided how serious or severe it will be later in life = ↑ |

aww i'm so sorry! it seems like this is happening to everyone! first emma and brooke, now emilee! that's just crazy. poor little girl. but hopefully finding all of this out will help get her feeling better. i know emma has been on her new meds about 5 days and is feeling ALOT better! her cough is completely gone! so hopefully they will get emilee feeling better soon!

Jen I am so sorry you are going through this! Poor Emilee! My advice is next time they want to take her to have an x-ray be very firm and let them know they will not being doing it without your present. I have actually been in the room for all of Brooke's x-rays (and she has had a lot) in fact, I am usually the one holding her down.
I know this is very stressful, but just try to stay calm and don't get worked up about it. Brooke has now been sick for 7 weeks and still has a cough. I am pretty sure she has asthma but no one will diagnois it.
Brooke is still recovering from bronchiolitis and pneumoia, it beats them up so bad. She is on pulmicort and albuterol.
I'll be keeping you both in my prayers. Is she on any breathing treatments? Those really seem to help them. ↑ |

| I feel so guilty with her diagnosis they told me at her last appt. it was just a cough and perscribed her decongestant and I knew it was taking a while to work but I decided to just wait it out and ask her dr about it at her next appt. and she has all this and i let it go for so long.............. ↑ |

| i agree with nikki. there is no reason you shouldn't have been able to go in for her xray. gracie has had chest xray 3 or 4 time and my dh always went in with her.i only went in for the first one and i started crying which scared her more so i let randy handle that part now....no needles for him, no xrays for me. now when emma had hers i didn't go in but i had gracie and cole with us and she is almost 4 so she thought it was cool getting the xray...not scary. ↑ |

| and don't feel like a bad mom for letting it go. we've been trying all kinda of stuff with emma now for almost 3 months. first they said just a cold and gave her decongestent. then they said allergies...then they took her off the allergie meds...then they put her back on....then they took her back off and we went to the specalist. so we are just now starting to get things figured out and her cough under contol. ↑ |
