i'm not even sure if this is the correct forum- but i have seen others talking about this. does anyone know if it's possible to have a + preg test after having a recent miscarriage? I have been trying to get preg. for over two yrs now and when i finally did two months ago - it ended with a very early miscarriage(two days after i took the test and it was +) so I don't want to get my hopes up if it's just residual (or left over from the miscarriage) someone help!!!!!

if you took a test 2days after a miscarriarge, it is highlylikely that it is the hcg stil in your system from the miscariage, i just had a miscariage a month ago so i know how you feel and i have avoided taking preg tests for 6 weeks.. so next week imalowing myself to test... thats probly a good thing to do hun, cos phsyically it takes your body a while to do so anyway, and a test showingpositive two days after is unlikely because hcg has to be in your system from the new pregnancy if thats wat it is...

It's most likely still positive from your miscarriage. I'm so sorry for your loss hun. Do you have a doctor's apt coming up to check you hcg levels? I had a d and c and a pregnancy test a few days later was neg but if you have had a natural miscarriage it may take longer and you should have it checked just to make sure you have the all clear.

My thoughts are with you

I want to thank you girls for your thoughts. I just re-read my blog (or whatever it's called). I guess I was really tired and it came out a little , well wrong! Here's how it is: I was pregnant two months ago and had an early miscarriage. I just tested possitive two days ago (so hopefully another pregnancy) Your right it did sound like I took a test 2 dys after miscarriage and it was +!!! Sorry about that. - I have an appointment on Wednesday. Thanks Girls!

Well, in that case, that does sound like a positive hpt for a new pregnancy.

Congrats!!! Have you figured out your due date yet?

I'm a little confused about when I actually got pregnant because of the miscarriage causing strange periods after. I'm shocked that I'm even pregnant at all. But I'm thinking I'll be due sometime in Dec (end).

I would call you doctor and have them do a blood test so they can see where your numbers are.

Well I have my first appointment today. So I'll see what happens. God- it's been sooo long since I've done this. I can hardly remember how this goes! My last son was born almost 13 yrs ago!

I'm so glad you're getting seen today, let us know how it goes. Trust me, it will all come back to you. I have one turning 14 in 2 months and one turning 3 about the same time and expecting number 3 in November.

Wish you all the best at your apt!

I'm so bummed. I missed my appointment. My son had to be picked up early from school today - so I won't be seen til Tuesday! I just thought of something though... I was readin "What to expect" ( found a copy in my closet) it says that many women bleed in the first trimester. Is it possible that what I thought was a miscarriage , was not, and that I'm farther along than I think. I know-- I just need to get to the doctor! I just thought I'd put that out there.

Wow Daisy, your kids are really spaced apart as well. How's that working out? Does the 14 yr old help out? Boys, girls or both?
