So I have been having contractions since about 1 pm (now midnight) that have increased steadily. They aren't unbarrable though. I feel like I have definetly dialated and the contractions are keeping me from sleeping. Is this labor?? Should I go into the hospital just to see? I mean maybe they would give me some pitocin to kick things into gear...HELP

it definitly wouldn't hurt to go(if you haven't yet) because every woman and every pregnancy is soo different.with my son I was in labor forever! I started having mild contractions at 9:00 pm on a saturday and had him 8:00am on a monday, but I know of people who it only took hours from they're first contraction....Sheesh I am typeing this and you prolly had your baby already!!lol

So I went at about 2:30 this morning when my contractions started coming very regular every 5 minutes. Was being mointored for a while but since things didn't seem to be to progressing too fast they sent me home where I could be more comfortable. I am hoping things still go along today while I'm home. I am just going to get lots of rest and lots of walking. Wish me luck!

I know how you feel, it was that way for me... on the saturday when i first started haveing mild contractions... i knew it was nothing...then at 12:30 sunday afternoon I was made to go to the hospital because the contractions were getting worse.... I was 1 centemeter dialated then...that's it!!! then they were real bad at 5:00 so I went back and I was 1.5 cm dialated.... so I was all like I am not going back to that hospital today... then at 12:00 in the night I was literly moaning in pain...and I was forced to go again..and I was 5 cm dialated... so it began very slow for me too and once it actually progressed it progressed fast! I just remember lyeing in the bed in labor and delivery... just so comfortable because of the epadural... I hadn't been ache and pain free for months and months before that.. i was just starting to fall asleep when bang.. my water broke....lol
but no worries your time is getting close.... wow you must be so excieted, prolly a little scared too

I know how you all feel...tonysmomma how far along are you? I'm at 40 weeks and 4 days today. I'm still waitin for something to happen, i've had lots of cramping and pains and only got two hours of sleep lastnight cuz of it. Everything has subsided today tho..go figure. I'm gettin induced on Sunday if nothing by then. Talk about going insane.

WOW I would hate that. I started to have labor pains about midnight with my son. I went to the hospital at about 3:30am or so and I had my son at 4:21pm. Prior to that midnight I hadn't had any signs or symptoms or labor. Im am sorry to hear that this is going on for days that would really suck. I hope you have the baby soon so that you can feel better and hold your little one
