I had my daughter 2 weeks ago today. I ended up with a third degree tear. I am still hurting very badly. Has anyone else experienced a third degree tear? and how long did it take you to recover? ↓

Hey Renamommy, I had my son 3 months ago and I also tore really badly! I had a 4th degree tear and I hurt for a while. Did your OB want to see you for a check up other than your 6 week? Mine had me come in at 2 weeks and gave me the best advice..

He told me to start using a smaller pad-that made a huge difference in how I felt.
Sitz baths-helped a LOT
sitting on a pillow helps a whole lot as well. It got to the point I was carrying my pillow everywhere!! lol.

I really hope you start to feel better soon - I know it hurts badly!
Around 5-6 weeks I was feeling much better! ↑

Wow that miust be incredibly painful...I only had a slight tear and my dr. stictched it up...I also had floor burn from her head which made it burn for awhile...I was really lukcy though b/c my little girl was so small ↑
