There could be several reason as to you her doctor is going to induce her before her due date.
* She could have an infection inside her uterus.
* The baby has stopped growing at the expected pace
* There's not enough amniotic fluid surrounding the baby
* The placenta had started to deteriorate or seperate from the
uterine wall
* There may be a medical condition that could put her or her
baby at risk such as high blood pressure or diabeties.
* If this is not her first she may have a history of rapid deliveries.
Usually other then the items stated above. You doctor won't induce until your 1 or 2 weeks over due. ↑ |
thx ethan,,,,i really like you !!! you are really helping in this site !! ↑ |
I just wanted to add: fear of baby getting too big is another reason your doctor may induce, all doctors are different when I went in for my 38 week check up I said "how much longer" to the doc, he said "if you want I can induce you tomorrow" I opted not because of the higher risk of a c-section with an induction, but I couldn't believe he offered that so quickly, just b/c of my 1 comment ↑ |
Yes because I am developing preeclampsia. Extremely swolen feet, rash and high blood pressure also I have placenta previa which means the placenta grew on the bottom instead of the top and if it comes out before baby I can bleed to death along with the baby. ↑ |
I was induced 6 days before my due date cause my doctor was going to be gone and I really wanted her to be there for the delivery. I hear in some states though that that is not normal. ↑ |
yes it can happen and for diffrent reasons.......me and my friend were due at the same time.....her husband was being sent to irac so they induced her a week and a half early..........another friends step mother........just had a baby last week.......and they induced her a week early cause of her blood pressure they are both perfect and have no health problems ↑ |
I was induced with both of mine before my due date. With my first, my Dr. decided it would be best because I had a lot of amniotic fluid. With my second I was 5 cm at 37 weeks and wasn't contracting and he was afraid I would have a fast labor if I went into labor at home. Well I labored for 9 hours, so I don't know if it was the right decision or not, but my baby weighed 8 lbs. 2. ↑ |
