So I went in on Tuesday afternoon to do the test. I had to drop off some some cargo at the airport in town and I thought, great timing, I'll go then.
Well I get there and the lab is closed til 1:30pm so I wait. I get in right when they open and drink that nasty orange goo. I feel nauseous but only a little so I drink some water and hope it passes. My doctor's office is in the same building so I go in there to ask about meds for my back (it went out of whack while vacuuming of all things!)...when I see the doc she says the test won't really be accurate if it comes out positive since I have left it so late in the afternoon to do it (overfasting equals bad). No one in their offices mentioned when I should go in, just that I would need to fast from 12am onward the day before...so I'm a little annoyed and think, well if it comes out negative not to worry anyway so I might as well keep going. Then I throw up...not once, but three times and they cancelled the test anyway! I'm kinda laughing at it now, but at the time I was annoyed.
The end result, the doctor wants me to come back and do it again...like I have 4.5 hours of freedom on any given day (45 mins there, 45 mins back). I asked if there was any other test I could do instead, and nope, I have to do this one...ya, I'll get right on that :) Anyway, I will try again at some point next week I guess...can someone come to Hawaii to babysit Wyatt while I go in please?! Sorry for the length and the bitching but I had to get it off my chest. ↓
