I have been anorexic for only 4 months so far and have lost 13 pounds. I am 5'6" and weigh 107.5 lbs. I have been maintaining this weight not going higher or lower. I'm not scary skinny but pretty thin. I haven't had my period for 4 months and am worried if I will get it back.

I do know that i should be eating healthy balanced meals, but will I ever get my period back because I am planning to have kids and I'm afraid that I can't. How long does it ttake for your period to return?

Yes u can get them back but you need to gain weight in order to get them back. Once you have the right amount of body fat on your body your periods will come back. You might not need to gain that much...I lost my period for 12 years & they came back at a very low BMI of 14. So I was still extremely underweight when they came back. But it's different for everyone.

hiya sweetie,
well to be honest it depends how much you weigh etc, the majority of people do get their periods back although it depends how long you maintain a low weight for.
it's very un-usual not to get your periods back if you have had them prior to your disorder i hope that helps.
