you'd rather be gross and skinny and later on die than eat?
perhaps you better go back to the recovery place you came from.

"Back to normal".....the problem is, you don't really have a 'normal' due to the fact that you've been suffering from an eating disorder. What you need to work towards is setting up a new 'normal' which will involve healthy eating and a stable weight.

Ask your doctor if he can refer you to a dietician where you can discuss what kinds/amounts of things you should be eating for a person of your particular age and build.

Try to think about following a healthy diet. Avoid all junk food and sugary things (inc. drinks). Stick to fresh fruit juices, water and teas. If you're hungry then you can eat different kind of fruit, nuts, seeds, dried fruit etc. You can eat as many vegetables as you want too. Avoid processed foods as they're full of hidden fats and msg.

The usual calorie intake for a grown woman is around the 2000 calorie a day mark - 2500 if you're very active.

It's perfectly normal to gain weight after recovering from an ed - don't be frightened. You just need to learn to control your eating in a healthy way that won't compromise your health. This may take a little time and it sounds like you need some advice from somebody who's properly qualified to do this.

This might be hard to do, but is there anyone who can dole out your three squares and healthy snacks to you every day until you get the hang of things? I can imagine it's hard to go from eating virtually nothing to trying to figure out just what and how much to eat. Be kind to yourself. You don't want to retreat to your old way of thinking just because you're having a hard time getting straight. Even something like a weightwatchers group would be good despite your ED history because they can teach you how to set limits without starving. I think a nutritionist/dietician is a good idea. Your insurance may even pay for a dietician in light of your history. Ask for help from family members and mimic the eating habits of those you know who are healthy and a comparable body type as you. Good luck and hang in there.

hang in there, you're not fat- I'm anorexic and I would give anything to have the strength to overcome it
