the thing is... did you call the hotline for it? maybe if there is one near you someone could offer you a ride? Im bulimic/anaorxic and I went to a couple metings just becuase we all suffer from a problem with food- like binge eating... i binge but then I purge... the people there were amaxzing, really supportive and understanding of eachother.... and some very successful in stopping their compulsive eating....

if you have a supportive husbvand maybe you could share him your torment.. and get some help... if not mayee- since this IS Your life we're talking about you could get a babysitter and hire a cab so you can go to therapy for someone who specializes in binge eating disorder... it could really help you out
good lukc

my problem is that I eat off and on all day long and I on some days eat alot of sweets too. I don't throw up but there are days when I really feel kinda sick and jittery. I'm a food addict who can't take control of my eatting.

Hey Lizzi
Yeah i know how you feel as you can see i have the same problem and i dont really know how to deal with it but i do know that it is nice to know that im not the only one and i can talk to one or more people who have the same problem as i do and are trying to fight it every day

I have been told by my Dr. that I was borderline diabetic but I don't want to go on insulin or medication. I also seem to have bordeline or high bloodpressure everytime I go to the Dr. I swear my weight is going to be the death of me. Food is to me like heroin or crack is to a drug addict. I think food is worse though because you CAN'T get away from it. Every day you HAVE to eat it and then you HAVE to shop for it and cook it so it's always in your face, there's no escape from it where for drug addicts, once they decide to quit, they don't HAVE to go near it anymore.

yeah lizzi i completely know what you mean thats what i alwasy say
and its true its so much harder because you dont only have to stop but you have to controll how much you eat and still eat some so its like giving a crack addict a little three times a day but not enough to get high thats how it feels

Me too malki! I've thought of weightloss surgery but I'm scared something will go horribly wrong. Plus,my mom's brother and my dads sister have both had it done and they both have had problems since like my aunt still wants to eat all the time until she literally pukes! And my uncle can't eat certain things anymore or he will be sick and also he has begun to regain! They neither one have it in their HEAD what it takes to lose the weight, they both thought the weightloss surgery was going to be magical and they would be thin forever effortlessly but their both finding out it doesn't work that way. Even with the surgery you still have to watch what you eat and exercise. Yes it is true that if you are really big the surgery will take off 100lbs pretty quickly and effortlessly but to maintain the weightloss or continue to lose, you have to eat right and exercise or else the weight will creep back up on you and that's something that people don't understand. They think the surgery is a "cure all" and it isn't. Plus the thought of cutting and re routing my intestines sounds scarry as hell to me so I'm not going to do it. I'll lose it on my own or I just won't lose it at all.

the only thing is that we have to fix our heads before anything else cause its all in our heads unfortunetly

I really think you should go for support because people that have the same problems may not have the answer to a solution. In my case, I am also a new mom, I binge and then purge, I was able to control this during my pregnancy but now it has come back. What do you do during the day? Babies are a handful and need constant care? Please get back to me as I may have some idieas on what to do...

hey piscis81
well i am also a stay at home mom i have a little girl (11 months old) and i also had no problems during my pregnancy but after i gave birth like two months after i started binging again and its wors cause now my controll over it is almost gone anyway as i said before i wish i could go for some help but right now i have no way
we have one car which my husband uses to go to work and he doesnt get home untill about 5pm. and for private help in the eavning time it is just too expensive here so for now im just gonna have to wait

Malki,
Hopw is this binging satisfying or making you feel? Do you purge afterwards or is it only binging? Are you into healthy eating or have any idea about nutrition or you just basically eat anything? I would like to exchange e-mails if you would like..

Name: malki | Date: Aug 24th, 2006 6:36 AM
no i dont purg unless i feel really sick from eating way too much which thank god doesnt happen too often
yeah i eat healthy and i know almost everything there is to know about exercise and nutrition but my problem is with sweets mostly chocolate and when i feel i need to binge and there is no sweets in the house i will eat anything just to satisfy the binge i cant really controll it anymore i wish i could

That is fine malki, again I want to know for example: Do you breastfeed, do you workout, any activity that keeps you busy and you enjoy doing? I know about nutrition, diets and working out...that is my lifestyle..I draw, dance and all these can keep me busy.....What do you think before you start your routine of binging.....I suggest you keep a log, get back to me
