ok so the kids are out of school, and their scheduales are pretty booked...but every spare day my 12 almost 13 year old daughter has shes either watching tv or on the computer. She is very active in sports...everynight she has either a vball or bball game, so getting enough exersize isnt an issue, but i want her outside!
what are somethings we can do? or just her by herself? sometimes she goes and bumps the vball around, but only for abotu 5-10 min then shes back inside! i know shes bored and shes asked me what she can do, but i dont know! We have a pool, but she doesnt want to go in it every single day! And when shes been in front of the tv for hours she gets tired and testy! any suggestions?

Take her to get a mani/pedi - and then some shopping. Girls that age like to do that sort of thing. Or find out what her friends are doing and urge her to go along with them.Get her into scrapbooking or some other craft she may like. If she is that active with sports everynight, maybe she just doesn't have the energy to spend on other "outside" activities during the day. This is a very difficult age with girls - they seem to hate everything and are at their worst. - I have a 15, going on 16 year old, so I've been there.

thanks!
At the begaining of the summer i took her to get a pedicure, she liked it,but wasnt relaly intersted to be hanging with mom. I guess i can understand. My daughter HATES to shop with me. only because she "a teen"(almost) and im too embarrasing! Maybe i can take her and a few of her friends to the mall and be a store away. During the school year she did scrapbooking and loved it! But lost interst soon, if i encourage her she will probably start back up again. I just dont want her to do something she doesnt like. She also has a summer reading book she needs to read. Getting her ot read isnt hard, because she sort of likes it, but the book she has to read is "boring" to her. How can i get her to read it? It's rather long too. Thanks again!

i played a card game with my daughter (12) and my son (15) all was going well until my daughter started loosing we were just playing...but when i won she said "you won you can pick up the cards" When i said she was a sore looser she made an excuse that she had to go to the bathroom. Everything i try to do she makes a negitive impact. Sometimes she's this bubbly little girl other times shes a complaining teenager!
