Dawn C this all got started in another topic. Some one said their dog smelled like dirty socks and fritos. It made me remember my sister telling me that her dogs feet smelled like fritos. It also brought back a recient scent memory of my own dog thinking that he smelled like fritos. I know sounds kinda weird!

No not too weird...I saw the other topic lol. Just trying to lighten my mood. Too much time in SAHM is corrupting my outstanding sense of humor! LOL!

Okay....I am not going to smell my dogs feet!!! LOL
I know that if I were to grab Toby's feet he would pee, he hates his feet being touched. Now Nika I know I could smell her feet. But the question is "Do I really want to?"

T-rabbit, I don't think I have ever seen you in the sahm forum. Do you go there often? You are right though.

How true T-rabbit lol. It's a proven fact that animals have a soothing effect on people.

Thank God for the pets forum LOL!

OK...just for you lindalu...I sniffed their feet : ))

That is a way different smell than what yveeb was describing. There is no mistaking the Frito/dirty sock smell of a Bully LOL!!

****INFO ON PAWS**************

I had Mac to the vet today due to his feet smelling more "frito-y" than normal. He has a yeast/fungal infection between his toes and the vet gave me a great "home remedy":

1 part white vinegar to 1 part hydrogen peroxide, wipe between pads and toes with a cotton ball three times a day until the infection starts to dry up, then use once daily. (Do NOT let dog on carpets/rugs until feet are dry -- can cause bleach spots.)

If there are any open sores/lesions from the infection, use panalog (animax) cream sparingly in conjunction with above mixture, until healed.

This solution also works on dogs like shih tzus and bichons that have yeast infections under their eyes (where the fur is sometimes stained dark) -- just do NOT get the solution in their eyes. Use a small cotton ball or q-tip.
