ok so, i have been with my boyfriend for almost 7 months. he has a beautiful baby girl, emerlynn. kasey left travis and em almost 8 months ago and up until a few days ago, kasey wanted nothing to do with her. travis has been taking care of her since the day kasey left. i have come to see her as my daughter too. she even calls me mom. well anyway, kasey is now fighting travis for full custody. just out of the blue. im so terrified that we're going to lose her. i kno that travis will not be able to handle that and i dont think i could either. we talked to a couple lawyers and they have all told us that our chances of getting em, compared to kaseys are slim. since most judges in utah still favor the mother. we havent seen em in a week and already i see changes in travis and i. we arent even allowed to see her, or hold her. since em is in kasey's home, she doesnt have to allow travis to see his daughter. your probably thinking "how did em end up with kasey" well ashley, kaseys sister, asked travis if she could babysit em while travis was at the biomat. kasey is now refusing to give her back. what makes this all worse is that ems 1st birthday will be coming up in nine days. travis' birthday is on the 22nd. and our first actual holiday is coming up as well. i love em so much and i really dont want to lose her to kasey.
kasey is completely unfit to be a parent. she does drugs and lives with ppl who do drugs and more than likely only wants em because she realized she can get money for her from the welfare. ugh.....
i have been crying for the past week and so has travis. in case ur wondering, travis is 18. i am 17, kasey is 17. and em is almost a year old.
